9W award availability on AA

Has 9W reduced its award inventory given to AA? Recent attempts to get 9W space on domestic flights have all been unsuccessful, leading me to wonder whether 9W is simply not releasing the seats.

Earlier this month I needed to travel DEL-CCU (after arrival on an AY flight) and all I could get was a DEL-IXR-CCU connection. At the airport I found out that the morning flight (9W-7105) had plenty of unsold seats, whereas both DEL-IXR & IXR-CCU (on which I was holding seats) were sold out. I approached the 9W counter at DEL and asked them to swap the tickets (so that I could reach CCU earlier and they could sell my seats on DEL-IXR-CCU and enhance their revenue), but met a brick wall. As a result they had one irate customer and no incremental revenue

there are multiple threads out there regarding this....jet has not just reduced award inventory for aa, but reduced award inventory period....they have made it extremely difficult to redeem awards on their own flights as well....
