Now now - no generalizations - our dear Keyser formerly known as Saad is an evangelist who usually has his ducks in a row and knows what he's talking about....
They should be able to flex it and do something about the transits...
My biggest gripe about flying 9W today is the inability to get a half decent shower most of the time when transitting after an overnight flight... I hope they fix this soon and expand BRU as planned.

They have the muscle at BRU - and if they pick up the slots and expand with the real estate at BRU (they were going to take lots of free space on the upper level with a totally seperate F lounge, a full Spa/shower set up etc)...

First the buggers should show us that they are serious about putting the 77w on the US routes...however, note that I was told that 4 F seats on the A332 was being considered also-but a refit might take too long, given they are short of aircraft.
(They don't need more seats than this-if they want to let the F cabin go empty and not allow redemptions!!

You are right that at this point, there is little chance of star alliance accepting 9W. The only way is if LH (SN owner) were convinced it was in their best interest (the above plan could make SN far more profitable). If LH wanted Jet to join Star and work closely with SN, it might happen.
I can personally attest that if one were to get a pleasing FA (going above and beyond) on board Jet (most times you do not), you can deem Jet worthy of the top tier of carriers worldwide.
However, sleeping in the Jet biz hard product for only 1 hour was refreshing to say the least - even over sleeping 3-4 hours in the biz or First product of LH - What a difference it makes!!!

However, someone high up at BOM HQ confirmed to me this was just a rumor and not true - the 330 is not wide enough to fit a 1-2-1 config of the suite, only a 1-1-1 (hence possible combo's in multiples of 3). One of the reasons the 77W doesn't do well is the weight of the 8 suites increases operating costs to fly the entire plane.
Don't think we gonna see first on 330's any time soon unless the come up with a different version of it.

For intl flights, Jets food and service is not presented well, often hurried, and not what it was previously projected to be... They started like IT, but slowly moved closer to AI.

Jets hard product might be good, but their soft product needs a lot to be desired (atleast for intl routes). For domestic, they are really good.

I agree on the IT comment - but AI? Have you flown biz on AI lately? take them to SIN and the meal is literally a premium economy tray thrown together - no wine, champagne nada - compare that to even AI domestic meal service and you'll find it apalling - same on their DXB flights...

The IFE system is the pits..very very poor collection to choose from.
