IATA doesn't make "rules".

Thanks @ everyone !
After numerous calls and visits by friends & family to ORD, BLR, DEL airports over the last 15 days, I got a call from Jet Airways (!!!) yesterday saying the bag was lying with Delhi Jet Baggaage Services. There was no baggage tag on it and they had to open the bag to find my contact number from some documents. AI still refused to take responsibility for the bag and I had AA collect it and its on its way to MSP now. Questions: 1. AA Delhi is saying they'll send the bag to MSP Airport, not my address. Should they not deliver at my current address ? 2. Can we claim compensation for the delay of 15 days ? We had to buy stuff in the last 15 days. Also not to mention the hundreds of phone calls and time, energy and peace spent. 3. If there are any missing/damaged articles in the bag, can we claim compensation ? Hoping the bag reaches its destination this time ! |
Did you happen to have any travel insurance?
