Help with reward availability on Jet

I am planning to use AA points to get some Jet Airways flights. Unfortunately, I can’t find a way to check availability prior to calling the call centre…. In my experience, it is much better to be prepared when calling the AA call centre.
Could anyone suggest a way to check availability?
I am looking for one First and one Business seat on 26, 27 or 28 Oct 2011 from LHR to Mumbai.
For the return I am looking for 2 Business Class seats from Chennai or Mumbai to Brussels on 6 or 7 November…
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Do you have a Jet Privilege account?

I did create one, but it looks like you can't check reward availability unless you have miles on it... Account balance is 0 for now.... Hence my question :)

Yeah you are right. I will have a check for you when I get home later today.

sorry for hijacking the thread

I was trying to figure out how to upgrade my return flight from BOM to MXP on jet, and well, unfortunately all my miles are in flying blue and skywards. Now, I can convert my CC points to jet miles and buy the missing amounts (or convince a relative or two to gift them to me :p)

Talking to the call centre tells me that there are no award seats available for that date (Jan 19th), and to call closer to the departure date. What are the chances of award seats opening up then? (someone with experience?)

If you wait list on the flight and they have a seat spare they will normally upgrade you a few days before departure. If you don't have any Jet status then they will not upgrade you before hand until they are sure the seat will go empty which is normally 2-3 days before departure.

Your best bet is with vouchers as if the flight is quite full then they won't upgrade you with miles and when you check in that might be too late. If you wait list with vouchers then you have a chance to upgrade till the flight closes.

good advice....but if you don't have vouchers then your best bet is to keep calling & pestering them about the upgrade....

Well, my uncle had a few vouchers he was not using, took them, went to the jet office (since well, i was priced in the lowest fare bucket), went to the next fare bucket. Turns out that my card was not getting accepted for some reason, went to the ATM to get some money. In the time I got back with the cash, they got a seat opened up in the D inventory, and got me my upgrade. I am impressed with Jet!

May I also request a check for J award availability for 1 passenger from someone with JP miles and and a JP account? I am looking to redeem AA miles. Your help would be extremely appreciated. Getting this from the AA reps is like pulling teeth.

Segments:
JFK-BRU: 1/24/11 or 1/25/11
BRU-BOM: 1/25 or 1/26
BRU-DEL: 1/25 or 1/26
BRU-MAA: 1/25 or 1/26

BOM-BRU: 2/12 or 2/13
BRU-JFK: 2/12 or 2/13

Again, much obliged to any kind soul who looks this up for me.
