i'm a fairly frequent traveler & i take a few flights a year....i have seen a lot of airports that are far better than t3 & have seen a lot that are far worse....taking just the arrival experience into consideration, i am happy to have the new t3 in delhi but it could have been a lot better....

a few negatives:
i hate the carpet....it definitely needs to go....i had a hard time pulling my laptop bag & did not like the colour....
i noticed some peeling paint & broken windows & broken tiles....this is something they need to fix....
a bunch of other small things that are not worth listing here....

till now from the reviews it seems the carpet is a clear negative if its even tough for laptop bags .. this seems really funny as it shows a problem in planning and implementation of the same both.. IMO this may be tougher to fix than the peeling paint, broken windows and tiles .. who knows whats the finishing below the carpets

abhi,
In my experience, I didn't notice much of the poor finish and construction during my arrival into T3...oldish looking aerobridges, cracked glass, peeling paint... that's all I saw. This may be for two reasons: 1. One is in a hurry to get out; and 2.The Mudras aside, the arrival concourse is quite plain (and perhaps the carpet overpowers one's senses!). On the way out the experience is starker.

Anyone else getting the feeling that India will be left with egg on its face during the Commonwealth games....

i'm not worried about the commonwealth games....i think somehow or the other they will manage to pull it off....i'm more concerned about the long term effects of what they have done to the city....it will take delhi 10 years to recover from all the construction, dug up roads, water problems, etc....
