Jet or Spicejet or Indigo ?

Which one would you chose? I need to book 8 adults and 1 child from BOM to COK one way and JET is priced higher by about Rs 200 than the other two...

I've flown all 3 and while Jet had a free snack on my flight and Indigo and Spice didn't. HOwever, now many domestic Jet flights are buy on board under their "Konnect" brand. I think I enjoyed my IndiGo experience the most. Take whichever is cheapest with the best schedule.

Which "Jet" flight are you talking about? If it is "Jet Airways" with a 3 digit flight number, then you get a meal which could roughly cost Rs 200 on board on LCCs, which will pretty much neutralise your costs. Otherwise, I have found Indigo to be highly efficient.

+1 to what azj and aniruddh77 said.
If it is Konnect, I would toss a coin between Spicejet and Indigo.

its only an 1hr20mins flight, go on the cheapest one, do you really need food for that time?

grab some vada pavs on the way to BOM airport for about Rs7 a piece, a couple of them will fill you up until you land in COK.

had it been just one pax with gold+ on JP, I would've said Jet, now that lounge access is available. but then again, realised over the last few months that the food at BOM lounge sucks.

i agree with most of what people have said here....if its a jet flight then go with them....if its jet konnect then just go for whatever is cheapest....

Given that the difference is only Rs 200, I would definitely pick Jet (or even Jet Konnect) over SpiceJet or Indigo, only becuase having a 9W BP (whether mainline or Konnect) would probably provide me with more options in the case of IRROPS. (Especially as a 9W elite.)

personally, i would definitely fly jet....but since it seems that the op has no status with jet & that he has to get 8 tickets, it seems like the best option for him would be to save Rs. 200 per ticket & pick the airline that is either cheapest or most convenient to him in terms of departure/arrival times....

having said that, if the jet flight is their regular full service as compared to konnect, then i would once again advice the op to pay the extra rs. 200 per ticket & fly jet....

Thanks for replies. I dont have any status with JET and this one to COK is a Konnect flight.. I think I will go with cheapest one ...

yes go with schedule/price unless the 9W fare earns miles on a program you use.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I really like SpiceJet. It's my preferred airline between DEL and AMD, which I fly 4-6 times a year. The planes are clean and the ground staff and inflight crew have a great attitude.

nothing wrong with spice jet....but at the end of the day they are a lcc....& you can't compare them with a full service airline....

Update on my quest..

As I was reading some Indian airlines websites I noticed most offer group deals. So I emailed a few for group deals and Kingfisher responded positively.. They offere me 9 tickets for INR 2800 BOM - COK each . Initially they quoted INR 3500 each but I emailed them back saying group deals should be cheaper and their quoted price is more than their onine price. Within 12 hours they emailed back saying instead of 3500 they can offer me 2800.

Last night they emailed me asking for passenger names and they mentioned they will accept my US based AMEX ( DELTA SKYMILES) without any extra charge. They said I can email my cc number and CCV code. or I can call their BOM office and give number on phone...

Also the BOM - COK flight is early mornng flight which I wanted at 6:45 am reaching COK at 8:45 am or so... Plus they mentioned VEGETARIAN breakfast is included in the price.. Overall a good deal I think.
