AA follows suit

On the Bonuses tab at the AA Rewards Network site you'll find an offer for 250 miles for $15 tabs April 1 - May 31, 2007. NOTE: same fine print as last autumn's convoluted scheme: one credit per restaurant per day - no splitting!

Presumably, there is a special deal going on for any AA elites who register with ADRN (AAdvantage Dining by Rewards Network) so they can become elites without having the 12 dine requirement, but the 6 weeks or so they say it will take to get ADRN elite makes this less than an ideal incentive, IMO.

I just became elite with AAdv. RN and wanted help clarifying the way it works. Please pardon my lack of understanding, I'm new to this program. ..

Is the 500 mile bonus for $150 per month still in effect with the 250 miles per $15 dine promo? Are there further incentives active for spending more than $150 per month?

Please confirm my calculations....

SPEND: $15 at 10 separate dines ($150 total).
RECEIVE:
10 miles per $1 @ $150 (1500 miles)
250 miles each of 10 dines (2500 miles)
500 bonus miles for $150 (500 miles)
1 mile per $1 with Citi Plat. (150 miles)

Thus, spending $150 can potentially earn as many as 4650 miles (assuming minimum spent at 10 dines) ultimately granting 31 miles per $1 (or 465 miles each dine)?

That's my math. Unless I'm eating at a place that gives 10+10 miles per dollar.
Also keep in mind the increments: at a 5+5 miles place you get 2 miles per 20 cents. So a bill of 15.20 will get two more miles than a bill of 15.19, but no less than a bill of 15.39

For those earning Priority Club points

They post as 8 + 8, so I round the bill to the nearest 25 cents for exactly 2 PC points.

Yes, the 500 miles for AA Gold/Plat/EXPs for $150 month spend is independent of and can be combined with any other RN promo.

So your math sounds fine, except that I suspect you will have a hard time paying exactly $15 for each dine, unless they're all cheap dines and you are just adding a huge tip to get it to $15. And if you go a bit over, while you earn more, it no longer works out quite to 31 miles per $. (Nor does it, of course, if you gover exactly $150 total.)

New United Bonus Coming Soon

The webpage does not have any details yet, but the link to the page which can be found under the bonuses tab, clearly shows the parameters of the new promotion. Apparently very similar to the current AA promotion but with a higher spend per dine to get the bonus:

Earn 250 bonus miles for every dine over $25 through 6/30/07
The link is now operational:

I'm on the West Coast and submitted my last few surveys after 9 pm on the 15th. Does anyone know if Rewards Network applies deadlines based on your local time zone, or some standard time zone (if it's Eastern Time I missed the deadline).
thanks!

Alaska Airlines has a new iDine bonus similar to the Priority Club one. 250 miles/dine.

U.S. Airways has a new iDine bonus similar to those of United and American. $25 minimum gets you 250 miles.

Links and details on the front page or bonus page of each program, or on my website below in Other Programs I Like > Dining > Specific Offers.

Lot of promos coming up, so here's the summary I pulled together:

Alaska Airlines
5/1/07 - 7/31/07
Only if you did not have an online ID prior to 4/20/07
250 miles per dine of $15 or more
3,000 miles maximum

American Airlines
4/1/07 - 5/31/07
250 miles/dine of $15 or more
no maximum

Delta Airlines
5/1/07-6/30/07
Triple miles for Sunday-Thursday dines
3,000 miles maximum

Midwest Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways
5/1/07 - 6/30/07
250 miles per dine of $25 or more
5,000 miles maximum

Northwest Airlines
4/1/07 - 6/30/07
Only if you did not have an online ID prior to 4/1/07
250 miles per dine of $25 or more
3,000 miles maximum

Priority Club
4/20/07 - 12/31/07
1,500 bonus miles for creating an online ID then having a dine of $15 or more within 30 days.

The Priority Club is more what I'd classify as a sign-up bonus and is basically only one dine, so anyone who wants to do that, do it whenver is convenient (maybe wait and see if there's a gap in promos at some point in the year).

By month, the promos currently known are:

April - American and Northwest
May - Alaska, American, Delta, Midwest, Northwest, United, US Airways
June - Alaska, Delta, Midwest, Northwest, United, US Airways
July - Alaska

I'll be doing American through the end of April, then switch to Delta on 3x days and Midwest on Friday and Saturday, then to Alaska for July (unless something better comes along).

Points Scrounger Apr 23, 2007 12:19 pm

The Alaska Airlines promo appears to be for new accounts only.
