AAdvantage Dining - 2017 Bonus sign up DECEIT (miles depend on review, hidden T&C)
My family member signed up for AAdining program in June with sign up bonus up to 2000 miles.
1,000 miles for 1st dine $25 500 miles for up to 2 additional dines of $25 (up to 2 times) Their website shows that bonus is completed but miles did not post. So we called in and to out surprise were refused bonus on the grounds that we were supposed to complete Surveys! If that was the case, then why does Dining and American go thru such an extent as not to mention this in large print?! Both companies were contacted and both refused to address the issue, claiming that we are supposed to go thru all the fine print! AA offered 500 miles but we declined. Requested to escalate this matter but were refused. Why is this DECEIPT allowed? Large print states to only sign up and complete dines of $25 to get the sign up bonus. |

The fine print likely included a bunch of conditions (not just the review requirement but card registration, dates, participating restaurants, etc). It's on you to read it.
|
Now that you know the rules, can you not complete 3 $25 dines and do the survey?
|
FWIW, the current sign-up bonus is for up to 3000 miles and the fine print says nothing about surveys. The OP's family member could have had different fine print however.

there's no deceit. here's the offer page. clearly states in paragraph 4 that you must fill out the online reviews: https://aa.rewardsnetwork.com/bonus....=A229&detail=y
this is right after the section on how to earn the bonus miles; it wasn't hidden by any means. |
Relocating this to the proper forum.

So it just proves that they go thru such an extent as to deceit customer, otherwise this requirement would be clearly stated in larger print. |

Any FlyerTalker worth their salt knows they must ALWAYS read the fine print!*
Without fine print, FlyerTalk would likely not even exist. *Singular "they" intentional |
