Madrid Transit

Hi all

I'm flying in from LHR into MAD (so T4S) then onwards to Mexico from T1. I'll be through checked.

I think I read somwhere that there is an air side shuttle bus at T4S to take you to T1. Can anyone confirm this? I've only flown via MAD once (arrival) and it seemed the only option was the people mover to T4 and then a connection?

Anyone know? Be better to go directly from T4S.

Thanks

Alex

Passenger link bus with boarding pass

This is a free shuttle bus service from terminal T1 and terminal T4 Satellite, for passengers in transit from non-Schengen countries, with boarding pass and luggage already checked in at destination.

Schedule: upon request.

Stops at the airport:

Terminal T4S floor 0, Satellite building.
Terminal T1 floor 0, baggage reclaim hall 1.

Yes, when leaving from T4S you will see the sign before passport control.

So you take the lift down and get the bus. That said I believe it's an on demand service so it ma not be all that quick but it exists and is even signed.

Great, thanks. I didn't spot this when travelling but then again wasn't looking out.

Do you have an EU passport? if you do, it's likely you never even made it that far as this is in the part that wraps around for non-EU manual entry rather than the e-gates.

I used to - now I just have a UK passport hahaha. Actually now that I see the photos, I remember immediate entry via gates to my right and as you say, walk past them and back for manual entry. This seems to be on the left. I think I can pinpoint the spot. I have 60 mins in LHR and then 120 in Madrid. Fairly tight connections :-).

Any chance you can re-up the images?

I finally got a photo of the bus stop downstairs after arriving on a hard stand.

Also as just been. If you have a visa / don't need one then you essentially can't transit airside. You must go out, get the normal landside bus and essentially enter Spain.
