New Business seat coming to the A350 from Dec 2022

Announced at today’s IAG First Quarter Results presentation.

Iberia will introduce the Recaro CL6720 business class seat in Dec next year, when the A350 embodiment program rolls out. TAP Air Portugal frequent flyers will be familiar with this seat as it is already seeing service in the Lisbon based A330-900neos

Nice seats, I sure hope they choose a different color scheme, as the current one is dreadful.

Here's the photo from the presentation. The colour palette looks pretty restained with pleasing earth tones

Does anyone know how these seats are on foot space. As a person with larger than normal feet, that's my biggest complaint of the current seat.

They look really nice. Unfortunately out of ORD they don't use the 350....they did once for a very short time.....Current seats on 330 need some restoration. The leather cushions on the armrests are coming apart, along with some small other details.

Three new A350s are slated for delivery later this year, so maybe the Chicago service will perk up.

I just received a schedule/ Date/aircraft change for lax to mad for June 2023. This is the seat map now, for the a350-900. I noticed that the seating configuration is weird compared with what's on seatguru. Ie it's still 1-2-1, but the seat lettering is now AC DEGH JL.

Is this the refreshed cabin?

No, this is the current configuration.

As per the title, the new cabin only starts in Dec 23.

Hmmm ... not so good news. This seat is much denser than the current one, based on my experience with TAP. Certainly foot space is more restricted and the bed is also slightly shorter - not good for the tall ones like me.

I was gonna say it looks tighter...other than that the basics are the same it's hard to justify them switching to a very similar design, it's obviously for denser cabin

Agreed.

When I'm enjoying a nice glass of Spanish wine I think to myself: "why taupe?"

EC-NXE, a recently delivered A350, is sporting the new business class seats and is already flying intra-EU.

For some reason, FT won't display the link to photos of the cabin.

So should it be from Dec 2022 rather than Dec 2023 as per the title or is there a full year of test with that??
