BCN - MAD on a Sunday afternoon.
Was the only passenger in C while Y was jam packed including heated disussions at the door as cabin crew refused last carry ons to be brought inside the cabin...

MAD - HAM, packed evening flight.
Although I am not the biggest sea food fan for airline meals I actually liked this fish dish.
The alternative was some vegetarian pasta which did not look overly appealing on my seat neighbor's table.

Currently in Velasquez (T4S) lounge. It’s a third full or so. It’s 11 am and they just brought the wines out although I think beers are anytime because I saw people drinking them earlier before this. The food looks good, they also have a Spanish section with patatas bravas, and different kinds of croquetas.

The lounge is just one long big hallways L shaped…seems like most people go to the right side because it’s more crowded over there. But there’s food and drinks at both sides. Overall I think it’s looking very good like pre COVID times

Sadly, a one tray service in long-haul business is pretty bad. That’s so 2020. Time for this to be multiple courses including drink cart w olives/nuts first especially on those daylight 11 hour flights to South America. If someone wants a faster service, they can request it. It’s just so cheap, and people need to start complaining. If American can do a multi-course biz class service, so can IB if there’s going to be a joint venture.

Guess we were on the same flight

Edit - hmm, something doesn't seem right there. The flight was an A350, and that isn't an A350 IFE screen in J. It isn't one in Y+ either (A seat, and the front row A seat is basically in the galley, not behind a bulkhead).

It was a Level A330 op by Iberia, that's 1A. I would have loved lie flat, but it was comfortable enough for the short flight.

I just noticed I got the date wrong, it was Saturday nights flight.

Are amenity kits back on long-haul? What about pre-meal bar service? When will menus return?

Kits have always been back. Nothing stellar. No pre meal bar service. I wish there was…to me that was the best part of BC.

and the after dinner drink service was also great. Unique selections.

I hope they come back soon.

one thing that’s new is that BC passengers can use the front lav….I find it much cleaner than the one in back

Any ideas why drinks don't appear on the Deliverly app? Got a BCN-MAD-SCQ itin in Economy and was just hoping to order a wine for each leg.

based on my experience in March 2022 the J long haul service is as follows:

- Pre departure beverages: back in MAD and some outstations (but not all)
- Drinks before meal: nope
- Meal service: on one tray, which I really like for red eye flights, but not so much for day time flights
- After meal drinks: are back
- Snacks between meal: are back, but slightly reduced variety, bar is open
- Second meal: changed from cold cuts to warm pasta

This is just a data point, of course.

Apparently new service began as of 18 March (crew mentioned it was the first day).
- Pre departure beverages: yes
- Drinks before meal: yes, + almonds/cheese/olives
- Meal service: as pre-covid, including a menu (redesigned)
- After meal drinks: yes
- Snacks between meal: yes (chocolate bars / crisps etc)
- Second meal: choice of cold cuts or pasta
