Lounge status in Madrid?

Are the lounges in Madrid currently open?

Tried to search online, but all it came up with was the generic Google listing stating the usual opening hours.

Thanks.

I do not know, but I will assume they are closed as there are not many flights running these days.
As an option if nobody replies, you can send them a Tweet, they normally reply.

Good luck

The oneworld lounge tool lists Madrid lounges as closed (look under "Opening hours"):

The Iberia website Covid-19 info page states: "We have temporarily closed our premium lounges in Madrid."

Anybody have a date for when IB's T4 lounges reopen? I suppose the Schengen lounge will be up first.

Seems like there’s no word from Iberia yet, nothing on their website about a lounge reopening. How busy is MAD airport right now? Assume there are more flights than Heathrow given Spain is two or three weeks ahead of the UK?

No date yet. T4S (the terminal itself) likely won't open for a few months.
MAD is still extremely quiet, with no more than 10-12 flights a day. 1 July is when Iberia starts up any form of "regular" operations (and T1 will open on that date too).

Remember, Madrid isn't in the "new normal" yet.

Sorry if this is a stupid question... arenít BA flights landing at T4 right now? And will Iberia operate from T1 when it reopens?

T4 (main) has a dedicated non-Schengen section, typically only used by IB flights to the UK, Ireland & Croatia (and Aer Lingus, I guess?). A couple gates over there are also capable of handling widebody aircraft, and that's where all non-Schengen flights have been departing from since mid-March.

Still no update on lounges? I received an email from Iberia today telling me to start travelling again.

AENA still hasn't reopened their lounges at any airport in Spain either.

Do we think Iberia could be opening soon? Any update at all?

I think it's still too soon. IB departures are very patchy. I think either august or mid july. In mid July IB is ramping up flights, so it could mean IB will open their Dali lounge. Nevertheless, I don't thin that, if it happens, they will open all they long.
