Was offered wifi onboard Puente Aereo this weekend

There were new little stickers on the seatbacks with a wifi logo and an instruction to connect to Iberia WiFi and then navigate to shop.iberia.com.

Both ways I connected right away, and the shop.iberia.com site offered realtime flight status, some other interesting things, and to buy a wifi connection. The most surprising part of this was the fact that it's unlimited, streaming is allowed, and it costs 9.99 for the entire flight. I didn't partake because it was only a 50-minute flight and I was already busy enjoying the new Puente Aereo catering .

There's no mention of this new service on the IB website (shock) but if it's something they offer on more flights I guess that's a great sign of things to come. It doesn't mean anything for me, living in VuelingTown, but I'm sure the rest of the country will enjoy the service.
