Iberia Plus Redemption on AA - Baggage Query (Economy)
Dear All,
I have a small query. When I was redeeming avios for the AA flight LAX-LAS on IB, I was sure the captions said that baggage in the hold was included.
Now that I've received the query the email seems to indicate that it does not. I know AA charges something like 30 dollars for baggage so was hoping the redemption would help me avoid this.
My understanding of redemptions is with BA where BAEC always include baggage.
Please could someone confirm whether baggage is included (23kg).
Best regards,
Randolph

Generally AA's Economy flights don't have baggage, however status will get you the appropriate quantity of bags as per their website. So one for Ruby, two for Sapphire, three for Emerald. Just show your card or e-card, best to use an experienced check-in agent but at LAX and LAS that shouldn't be an issue anyway.

No baggage allowance on AA unless you have Oneworld status.
Even if you have screenshots, etc. it will be close to impossible to get IB+ to pay for checked luggage on your behalf.
