Unable to select seat (Business redemption)
I decided in the end to spend some of my 90k promo Avios on a trip to Israel.
The Iberia website worked flawlessly and I am correctly ticketed in Business MAD-TLV (one-way) and TLV-MAD (one-way) next June. Weirdly enough though, when I go to choose my seat in either direction, no seat map is available. It only lets me express a preference for window or aisle... ditto if I try to manage the reservation via the Qantas or RJ sites :( Is this normal ? Is there a workaround ? EDIT: If I try from the link in my booking confirmation email, I get: "The seat map request failed because an error occurred during the processing. Check the log or the suberror for more information. (8700 [96])" P.S. Booked via my IB+ account, so I have no status... |
I think it depends on the route.
For some reason I can select seats on some reservations, but not on all of them. I just called IB and they assigned the seats for me. |
When are you flying? They will sell the seats well before they have loaded the seat map.

This worked perfectly. The seat map opened up at exactly T-330 days and I was able to select a seat. Thanks!
