We hope to fly Business Promotional from SJO to MAD on a 340-600. Does it have lie flat seats?

Have a look at YouTube - many reports on IB Business on A340-600. You can see. Having flown it from LHR-MAD I can recommend.

Are you specifically wanting to fly an A340-600? Or is that merely the plane operating the route you are wanting? IB can and do switch equipment when necessary

Nonetheless, all long-haul flights should have flat bed seats in J.
