- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Ended up getting RT AA tickets in F during Memorial Day plus a PE booking for NYC - BCN (will try and change to BCN - ORD if permitted -- made a tactical mistake since we're using DL miles the other direction and ex-Europe they tack on the fees that could be avoided if we use Iberia to get home and DL to get there).
Not too bad -- pretty pleased though bummed to miss out on J (it dried up for dates that were workable for us).

Hi everyone,
Well this has been an interesting experience! I had my 90k credit a few days after they were due, but my partners 90k only credited finally last Sunday. So we have been looking at the best use of the IB avios and also BA avios and 2-4-1 vouchers and have managed this evening to bag -
BA Club World from LHR to SCL
IB Biz from MVD to MAD
BA Club World LHR to JFK
IB Biz from JFK to MAD.
We had to buy some avios for the 2 IB accounts, and this has left some residual amounts in the account. I assume that the left over avios are "real" ones, and not "promotional" ones and therefore shouldn't disappear?
We get to try 2 new aircraaft types for us - BA's 787-900 and IB's A350-900 so that will be interesting.

I just got done booking the tickets and using up all 400k plus transferred from Chase UR. I didn't go for the value but instead booked tickets for 10 people in Economy to Madrid right before summer starts. Wasn't much J available and we are making this a family trip. Taxes were high, $205 for ORD- MAD.

I called Iberia to verify that I can cancel the booking and be refunded the points., they said I had 24 hours if I paid in dollars. I wonder if this will reset the clock on the points since they are redeposited. I guess this is another angle but not sure if the whole $205 in taxes plus 44k avios are worth it in economy.

Booked SFO to MAD in IB/J, end of may, 51K pts + $97 tax. Still sitting on 39k points. Transferred to BA just in case if IB is incompetent to take back. Can't search or make any new bookings due to that request processing error. Even if I lose the 39k points, not too bad considering ~ $430 ($330 + $97) one-way Lie-Flat J to Europe.
All the GDPR hacks to request account deletion does not feel like savior. Legally IB may be allowed to retain financial data to prevent fraud.

In practice, I suspect it might be the case, BUT the reminder email that Iberia sent earlier this months has the following language:

I expect to be able to change a flight time. IB even offers more than one award price for economy tickets that makes changes easier. One incurs a 25 euro fee for changes and another does not. I had excess avios and paid for the no-fee fare on a couple tickets. I might need to move my flights up a day and expect they will allow it.
