  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?

The offisielt answer is thai no changes are allowed after Dec 1.
Whether they actually have the IT in place for that, no one knows.

I can't see how they can remove avios from your BA account, especially if you have spent avios in your BA account. How can iberia, ba or avios tell which avios you have spent? were these avios that you earnt from iberia, credit card, tesco, flying etc etc etc.

Isn’t that irrelevant? They mark your IB account as -90k since you didn’t book anything in your IB account. Next day they combine your BA and IB accounts.

Does anyone know if we will get miles for the 10 or so tickets we booked on Iberia to get the 90000 bonus? I am not planning to fly any of the 10 flights, just wondering if we will get more Iberia Avios for purchasing the tickets? Whats the rule for receiving the miles?

Just a note for all of the posters mentioning the balances merging. They can't merge the balance if their isn't an account to merge.

I had the same problem until I actually filed with the DOT and let Iberia know I did. Two weeks later they quoted the DOT complaint and posted the miles.

A quick update as I now have the full 90000 Avios (previously only credited 81000).

I raised a ticket for the missing 9000 some weeks ago, got an acknowledgement then silence.

On Wednesday, I messaged the Twitter team, was asked for my ticket numbers (again !) and last night 9000 Avios appeared along with an apologetic email.

So I am very pleased with the Iberia Twitter team and feel like I have now got excellent value out of this promotion...

Looked into that route, but for those of us that have our IB flights booked post-Dec, I doubt Iberia would be willing to purge any accounts since they are needed for valid business purposes (aka the flights booked under them)
