  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?

Wonders never cease! Just received an email saying my wofe’s account would be credited with 36k avios after several emails last week saying her passport didnt match details submitted when signing up for the account (which was false). We’ll see, the replacement account PIN they sent doesnt work so i may have more travails ahead.

edit- i spoke too soon, did a simple pin reset and all is good. So 2 of 5 in our group got the avios. Not bad

I've just received 27k Avios for three bookings made on 24th June. I was unable to include my IB+ number at the time of booking but called up Iberia on the same day to have my IB+ number added to each booking.

All - another reference point.

Wife booked 10 tickets (some through App) on June 23rd. Iberia IT duplicated her account, which was then locked.
She was then given a new Iberia number (different from the Iberia account she used to book the 10 tickets) and received the 'Info sent to department for crediting soon' email - which was received 4 times.
I then emailed asking them to re-establish her original Iberia account, which was done yesterday.
All 90k Avios posted today.

Keep plugging away - they'll post!

Purchased 10 flights, only 4 received bonus avios. The excuse? The others were ticketed after the promotion period ended (even though they were purchased during). Raised a dispute with Chase; they won't do anything since they "do not have dispute rights for promotions."

I received today email that I will get missing 9000 and I can see them now in the account. So 3 emails and one month of waiting. I wasn't too bothered about it, but since I paid for ticket, wanted to get best value for money from my purchases.

Well this is just downright bizarre !

Prior to the promo, I had an IB+ account which was several years old and had had a few flight and car hire Avios credited to it. It also had a small Avios balance.
  • I booked 10 flights for the promo and all ticketed correctly and appear in "My Flights".
  • I was subsequently credited only 81,000 Avios.
  • I used 53,000 for a redemption, leaving 28,000 in the account.
  • A short time thereafter my account balance was adjusted to 28,500 with no new transaction showing...
  • I then wrote to IB asking for the missing 9,000 Avios to be credited
  • This morning, I logon to find that my balance is now 29,200, again without any new transaction showing...
I have no idea if the additional 700 Avios are a bonus, an attempt to credit my missing 9000 or just a simple error.

God knows what it's going to be like to fly with these people

My wife and i credited our first flights (MAH-PMI) to AA by handing over our AA ff card in MAH and getting the agent to enter them. Credited to AA and IB bonus miles remain.

It's clear tickets have to be issued by December 1st. Could someone tell me if a) I can make changes or b) redeposit the Avios *before* December 1st on Iberia flights? Thanks.

Yes, you can. There has been one report that Avios weren’t redeposited after cancellations from new accounts (without “real” activity), but there have also been reports of the opposite.
Personally, I have canceled tickets and got a refund, but I also purchased some Avios to make the account “active.” I don’t think that was actually necessary though.

My buddy still hasn't received his Avios. In fact, he called Iberia many times to follow up with no avail (same experience as many of you). He received an email 2-3 weeks ago to ask him to email Iberia Plus his passport info. He complied, but still received yet another useless generic email from IP telling him to call.

He did create his account at the very same time of the various ticket purchases for the 90K deal. However, he bought these tickets with the intention of actually flying the flights.

So, at this point, are there any suggestions or enlightenment from you folks? Thanks.

Very difficult to book at certain times, mostly during the day. I keep on getting "restricted access" when trying to book with avios and signed in. Works sometimes at night. Maybe system overloaded?

Every time I tried to book- after searching 5 days, it gave me errors. Just signed out and then re-signed in and gave me another 5 tries (until I found something!).

Don't give up!

Avios for 9/10 of my flights posted overnight, and I saw them for the first time this morning. I had pretty much given up, but I've got 81,000 shiny Avios to try to spend. If you're still waiting, there is still hope!
