- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

When I first opened my account at the beginning of the promotion period, I was able to clearly book airlines other than Iberia (Would get the message that I needed more points). Now that I got the official unlocking, it always gives me that error if the travel includes Iberia and any other carrier. Wonder once I get my points, this will change.

I'm going to wait it out and see if the blocking of partners resolves itself, but if not, it's a really low move by Iberia to restrict awards to their own metal.
I haven't read the full terms yet, but I would suspect that being awarded Avios would give me the full redemption opportunities, minus whatever was mentioned as a restriction (use by Dec 1 and no transfers). To have an additional restriction added post-promotion isn't actual kosher.
When I first opened my account last month, I was able to price out partners, but this changed once my account was unlocked (with no Avios). Now that the 90k have been deposited, I still can't price partners despite being able to price when I first opened my account a few weeks ago.

New account with Avios added today. Couldn’t see partner award space either. I did end up booking an AN flight connecting to an Iberia flight. I was able to ticket on the phone despite getting the aforementioned error message. What was also interesting is the website wouldn’t show biz space on the TA flight direct... I had to add the connection with AN and then space magically appeared.
For what it’s worth the phone agent was nice and super compentent. GL to all.

I doubt they will, because 1) it was in the terms and communication that you only needed to book and not fly. 2) they awarded the Avios on some pretty sketchy schedules (I had 10 consecutive days)

It falls clearly under DOT jurisdiction and rules at that point, and I suspect they'd had something to say about the bulk cancelling of tickets to/from the USA. Point being: not worth the risk for Iberia to do so.

FYI: My booking I did earlier had my surname on there twice. I just called and they were able to fix it within a couple minutes at no cost.
I probably would have been fine either way, but better safe than sorry.
