  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

USER: Your FT username

ACCT: NEW or OLD. New = created during promo period. Old = created prior to promo period.
YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?

I got duplicate account cause stupid autofill function filled in a second surname for me while creating my first account. Since personal details couldn't be modified i then went ahead to create another one using a different document number with all other personal details including email being the same. I then booked 10 flights using this account. While it makes sense deleting the duplicated account, they should delete the one that has 0 activity and not the one with 10 bookings...(or if both has made several bookings, delete either of them). In my case, it's obvious that duplicate accounts were unintentionally created. If they are giving avios to the "original account that are active", I don't see why not giving the avios to my account with 10 flight bookings. My account was completely legit and it would be ridiculous not crediting avios to it.

My household account is still the same, but I took one person off my family and friends list and added two new ones yesterday in order to book some flights for them.

Do you intend to complain incessantly until you get the huge amount of bonus avios that, until last week, you never expected to get? If so it's going to be very boring for the forum.

Maybe try being patient and grateful you have the chance to get them at all, instead of moaning in every single post. Frankly I'm not surprised Iberia CS got tired of dealing with you as you seem to be behaving in an extremely entitled way.

IB member number detached from the ticket when the account was locked. I think you may try to reattach the booking to your current iberia account and appeal again.

Booked first thing Sunday just finally got the email saying email in ID proof and ticket confirmations, already done that yesterday so just going to sit it out and wait for a bit.

I am encouraged and glad that this seems to be working out for many if not most people. I don’t think the Iberia forum has ever had so much activity! I fear, however, that it is unlikely that Iberia will ever offer such a promotion again, at least not under the same conditions. But we will wait-and-see. I hope you manage to redeem your points without any issues.

Suddenly our Avios transfer from my gf's BA account (household account) just arrived in her IB account. That sucked of course because we had already purchased points in the meantime for her redemption.
In the household account, they would have been much easier to redeem.
Transferring them out again to Avios.com fails, we can't even transfer a single Avios. And she has already redeemed her 90k Avios from the promotion.

Okay, so I've created an account on the promotion's weekend and since that wasn't working properly, created another one with which I then booked my tickets. Now I've received both versions of the email - of course they cancelled the account with the tickets - and don't know what to do. Shall I try to reopen the account where all my tickets have been purchased with or shall I do the identification process with the other account and attach the tickets from the cancelled account to try and get my avios? Can anybody help??

Although I sent in the form and ID before, was just asked to send them with the tickets (same form letter)- re-sent everything last night. At least it is progress.

How are we supposed to know?! I would use the account you used for purchasing the tickets as that is what was written in the T&C. But that is just my personal opinion.
