  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Please do a separate data point for each account. If you opened accounts for others (spouse, child, parent, etc), please make a separate entry for each account you opened. Please follow the formatting below so we have some consistency. USER: Your FT username
OWNER: SELF or WIFE/CHILD/MOM/DAD/etc. Owner of the account (i.e. the name on the account).
ACCT: NEW or OLD. New = created during promo period. Old = created prior to promo period.
YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?
POSTED?: POSTED or NOT POSTED. Points posted to account?
# PTS: How many points have posted to the account so far?
MISSING: How many points (that were expected) did not actually post?
DENIAL REASON: If you've been denied or are in limbo, what was the reason stated? INCONSISTENCIES, REFUNDS, WAITING, etc.

According to this seems points should start to hit accounts from Monday.

The hopes are high, if they haven’t made any announcements and it’s been over a week, I think we’re golden, they have always honor my mistake fares in the past

I’m pretty sure bloggers mentioned the country restriction so it’s not new.

However why not try to beat the system by changing your address on IB profile, at least as a precaution?

And where did bloggers get the info? I'd rather go by the published terms and conditions, bloggers aren't my gods

I didn’t mean it that way. I thought one mile at a time or some other blog quoted terms listing the country restrictions. I didn’t mean to imply they are some kind of authority.

In any case I’m mostly suggesting you change your iberia profile to get around this. Based on my experience with IB tech, the website is probably not smart enough to figure out you’ve done this. Then change it back after you use or maybe just receive the points.

Yes I also saw them quote it, but Iberia confirmed on Twitter that there is no restriction and their terms didn't show any restriction. My tickets say issued in Spain, my profile lists Germany. We don't know which country they base their decision on but I'd assume place of issue

Ah, now my understanding was you didn't have to be logged in to your IB account, just add your IB plus number to the booking. I've checked the original email and it doesn't state the above. Truth be known though lately I've started taking Iberia's twitter replies with a pinch of salt.

Well the T&C's said

The Avios will be added within 10 days of the purchase
So if you bought on the first day of the promo- Thursday 21st June- then the 10th day is today.

Unless of course they mean 10 working days

I would hope to see a roll out of AVIOS starting tomorrow at least for some people.

I purchased half of my points on July 21st, happy to see what was to come of it. Hopefully the points will hit today according to Iberia above. I've seen the same response to a couple of others on twitter. I just keep refreshing

I'm hoping that it's just a mass disbursal and everyones points hits today regardless of when purchased. Probably too much to hope for though.

I'd expect them to hit tomorrow, whenever the tech guys run their queries and manually allocate them. They'll probably have concerns and clarifications and maybe delay another day or two

If the miles not post automatically, we will wait a very long time for getting the miles.
They probably sold more then 200 000 - 500 000 tickets
