- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

For you guys that get an auto-reply from Iberia on the 2nd or 3rd try, what did you do different versus the first email? Just resend at different time of the day?
Would be interested to know as well when anybody who did NOT get autoreply from Iberia after emailing, actually end up receiving a real response from Iberia - informing whether your 9K avios posted, or perhaps not, bc your booking is "inconsistent" etc... I have been putting off calling them unless it becomes necessary. Thanks.

i would love to fight it, but I dont have the time or energy. Plus i know how these things go. Iberia will reiterate that it is "inconsistent" without truly giving me a rationale. And ill lose in the end. Will give them one shot to respond and will then just take the refund. At least i lose nothing from the losing gamble.

maybe those inconsistencies they're mentioning is the ib plus number is on confirmation but not on the e ticket which is confusing them but how is that our problem as the consumer that their IT systems can't keep up with it?

Personally I'd still request the Avios be deposited by 7/31 as per the terms, and if not awarded by then, then initiate a CC dispute. I'm not one to let them off the hook easily.

I was a victim of Iberia creating multiple accounts because I got an error when signing up (see posts above in this thread). Also located in Canada (tickets purchased from the Spain site). I think I have an uphill battle to get them to recognize this and send me the points so I’m going to admit defeat and go for the refund. And yeah... probably won’t be flying Iberia again any time soon.
I cant say for sure which email this was in response to. There were a few over the last several days after my account was locked and deleted.

My Avios are there but I am unable to make a booking.
I'm going to lay low and see what happens. I'm curious to see, however, if they void the transactions (along with the welcome bonus).

So new accounts are effectively getting shafted even those that complied with all terms. I sort of wish I was the only one but since lots of people are getting the same screwjob, hopefully someone can figure out what "inconsistency" they could possibly be talking about.
