  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Please follow the formatting below so we have some consistency. USER: Your FT username
OWNER: SELF or WIFE/CHILD/MOM/DAD/etc. Owner of the account (i.e. the name on the account).
ACCT: NEW or OLD. New = created during promo period. Old = created prior to promo period.
YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?
POSTED?: POSTED or NOT POSTED. Points posted to account?
# PTS: How many points have posted to the account so far?
MISSING: How many points (that were expected) did not actually post?
DENIAL REASON: If you've been denied or are in limbo, what was the reason stated? INCONSISTENCIES, REFUNDS, WAITING, etc.

Just fill out the form (if you'd like) and submit your passport photo and then keep on waiting.

The way I look at it, even the worst case scenario (losing the $$ and getting your account shut down) was worth the risk (unless you're an IB FF).

Direct reset on the app worked for my account (immediately got by email new pin) and app + website reset combination worked for my daughter's account (new pin generated but unable to send in app, completing reset on the website).

I can confirm that using the app worked. I just downloaded the app and requested PIN reset for my wife's new account.
We received a new PIN by email instantly and successfully logged in via the app. Clicked on Check In and all 10 bookings were displayed. ^

+1. app worked fine. No bonus posted, of course, but at least the bookings are visible and AwardWallet picks them up.

No JFK/NYC

Strange data point for the morning. On the Iberia site, New York City and/or JFK airport are not showing up as options or on origin or destination lists. Is this one of the many IT glitches others have experienced on their site?

Edit: NYC/JFK are now showing up for me. Very strange...

I sent off the form and passport info for my wife's newly created account ( for this promo) this morning and then followed the accurate and precise instructions above. I previously had an IB+ account. The previously locked account magically opened and showed up all the bookings. My wife also had a welcome to Iberia 200 Avios in her account locker as well! As a matter of interest (to me anyway) we booked ten flights in both our names and we are taking two of them. When the Avios land we intend taking a 3 country trip to South America which we would not normally have done, hopefully availability will not be a problem as we are very flexible with timing.

If that really was an “exclusive” why didn’t they ask whether the points would be able to be transferred out? I think this “exclusive” was probably just a conversation they had with someone on Twitter for Iberia. Also, “in the coming hours/days” is about as vague as it gets. People could have said that 10 days ago and it would be accurate.

A number of people have posted about the form to email in. I get that its logical. Is there something Iberia has emailed or posted about the form? Others posted they were told the accounts would be unlocked automatically. I'm leery of emailing personal data in if I don't need to, because of the inherent danger of circulating that info and previous hacks.

My account, as well as friends who jumped on the promo, is locked. The reset pin on the app doesn't work.
