  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Please do a separate data point for each account. If you opened accounts for others (spouse, child, parent, etc), please make a separate entry for each account you opened. USER: Your FT username
OWNER: SELF or WIFE/CHILD/MOM/DAD/etc. Owner of the account (i.e. the name on the account).
ACCT: NEW or OLD. New = created during promo period. Old = created prior to promo period.
YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?
POSTED?: POSTED or NOT POSTED. Points posted to account?
# PTS: How many points have posted to the account so far?
MISSING: How many points (that were expected) did not actually post?

Got cancelled

mine were ticketed and credit card charged but just received emails today of cancellation. This is all it says:
DEAR CUSTOMER
YOUR RESERVATION COULD NOT BE PROCESSED
SO THERE WILL NOT BE ANY CHARGE IN THE CREDIT CARD USED
SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE

This would have been a really nice trick actually... wish I'd thought of it beforehand.

no reason was given nor any email - basically the merchant (iberia) has refused to accept payment. The card company said refund should reflect in 2 days. I am partly relieved as i was not able to find award redemptions that would be useful for me

Sounds more like a payment issue to me.
How would IB know which bookings to cancel ?

I have other bookings booked with the same card but 1 or 2 days earlier and did not get cancelled. The payments were all posted.

Those cancelled, what format were your bookings? Did you have multiple bookings on the same flight (same date and number) or mutiplmu on same day on subsequent flights in the same direction?

My 10 are all still in place and are 6 one-ways in 6 days in a row, and 4 from a different city another 4 days in a row. If asked I'm transporting cars from Madrid to those cities then flying back the next morning to get the next car.

Man iberia is a joke. Spoke to the airline and they say my tickets are confirmed and not cancelled. However, when I check Credit Card statement- it shows that the transaction has been reversed

Called Iberia and first said my bank (Chase) didn’t authorize but my bank said they did. Upon further check, Iberia said their system didn’t take even though they were authorized and the reason is that I have too many bookings (10) for the same itinerary at different dates, which I think most everyone here are the same. Anyways, since they have initiated refund so there’s nothing they can do. The good news is, for you, that they are not intentional cancellations. The CS was quite nice despite its out of her hands and suggested me to file a complaint online. I am not sure if that will go anywhere.

6 /10 transactions are posted on my statement and 4 have vanished , they al say IBERIA ....... SPAIN ESP, I think they have cancelled the fares charged in USD and also the amount for all of them has changed , before all amounts were different and now they are all exact same

It's a joke

Many customers are buying a much more then 10 tickets for the same route but in different dates. The only thing that seems ok if they did it is if all the tickets are day after day
