  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Please do a separate data point for each account. If you opened accounts for others (spouse, child, parent, etc), please make a separate entry for each account you opened. So yesterday got reply from Iberia when sent email with few exec. in CC on Monday. But same generic answer.

Dear Mr. XXXX:

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences we may have caused you for not being able to respond until today the e-mail you sent us regarding our 9,000 Avios promotion.

In relation with the 9,000 Avios campaign for flights booked on iberia.com, we have reviewed your request and the information you supplied. We have sent the information to the relevant department for the awarding of the promotional Avios, if the information in your booking is correct, you should see these credit in your account shortly.

Not sure if anyone is in the same boat as me and my friends. We created new IB accounts during the promo period, but due to lags on the website we somehow clicked create account twice and inadvertently have created 2x IB accounts at the same time. All of us have used the account that has been created the latest to book the 10 tickets (as we did not realize that duplicate accounts have been created) and have not touched the original account.

Fast forward to July we got e-mails from IB stating that they have cancelled our new accounts (that we actually used to book) as they are duplicates. We have since then been trying to clarify with IB both via phone and e-mail on whether the bookings will be transferred to the original account (that has not been cancelled) but we are only getting the standard response (we have forwarded your response to the relevant department). We haven't received any rejections at all but have just not heard back from anyone.

Anyone been able to get their points credited successfully in a similar situation as us?

I got totally the same situation, till now only the same gereneric emails every week. I think these are lets say complicated cases so they are handling it individualy and thats the reason why it takes so long.

My partner sent an email with executives cc around 11 pm last night. Points posted 12 hours later.

Previously she just sent 4 emails to the normal email, never received a response. Seems like it works after all.

Does anyone know at what time exactly rewards become bookable?

The calendar as of today goes to 29th July 2019 (361 days away). When I select a flight on this date and proceed to the payment page, I get the error "You can make a flight reservation only for the next 361 days.". When I look at the previous day there is only economy available which does proceed to the payment page.

This is Iberia metal, and I'm able to proceed to payment for a booking at 360 days, but get an error on the payment screen for a booking at 361 days. Is there a specific time it becomes bookable? Midnight in Madrid? Midnight in the country of departure? Scheduled departure time?

Just checking you have the same situation (ie they deleted the account where bookings were made) and that they posted? Would you mind sharing if you had to prompt them to do this or did they do it automatically?

She sent the email to the following:

She put them cc and sent the email to the [email protected] email.

Some emails come back undelivered while others are still working. Notice that the first two emails starts with L.

Points partially posted in initial batch, then sent an e-mail to clasica, reply on Jul 18 was "If the information in your booking is correct, you should see these credit in your account during the following week."

Nothing changed, so I followed up on Jul 31, got reponse today: "First of all, we want to thank you for contacting us.
In relation to the 9,000 Avios campaign for flights booked at iberia.com, we feel the delay in the resolution, but its resolution is still being processed."

So I still keep my fingers crossed.
