  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Has anyone changed or planning to change the FF number on any of their bookings to another airline with whom they have status e.g. for seat selection purposes? I don't think there was anything in the T&C's about doing that right?

This morning update:
3 of 4 family accounts unable to login (original log in error). 1 ok but still 0 Avios.
No responses to form, passport, and tickets submitted - only acknowledgments eventually received
App request to reset password successful on 2 of 3 accounts- 0 Avios in those
1 account- app says password sent but email not received (tried twice) ADDED: can now reset pin on the .com US website (emails never received). 0 Avios in this account too.

Running out of popcorn-

Update for us:

1 - Existing account received 90k last week and already used some.
4 - New accounts for legit people, all responded with requested info. Did unlock through mobile app. No updates received from Iberia, and 0 miles in each account.

Me too, ID, form, e-tickets sent, for two accounts, and no response yet. Only auto reply that emails have been correctly received.

Really, this is too good to be true - they cancel out 10 tickets, and they refund us the fees for 10 tickets and we keep our Avios?
I have no issues that there will be no refund... so long as Avios are on account and we can freely use them before 12/1.

On top of the fact that they are likely going to deny my avios since im a new account... I am now also annoyed that I emailed them within the first few hours of their requests on the 3rd and no response yet... while others have gotten responses within a day or 2.

Decided to be proactive since out of popcorn and I filed a DOT Complaint (hoping for some action prior to end of month). Complaint simple to file and just attached the IB promo and complaint I never received my Avios- past the 10 day period and I have submitted documentation as requested.

I'm pretty sure the DOT won't care, unless you booked flights that touch US soil.

Maybe but the Promotion was for USA residents and on the US web site and purchased and paid in the USA. Normally I would agree with you but I am not complaining about the flights- only the promotion.

I am assuming (maybe hoping) Iberia will not want thousands of inquiries from US DOT and will not send me one of those phony inconsistency emails.
Will keep all updated as my popcorn budget is severely depleted.

(even if they tell me it is a Consumer Protection issue- should get something)

I complained to Dot also about retroactively adding the additional terms preventing transfer of Avios. Dot confirmed they have counted it and I'm not waiting for a response.

Changed mine to BAEC as intending to fly 5 of my flights in March. Free seat selection available almost instantly..

Also have redeemed my bonus miles ( AGP-MAD-MIA return on Iberia ) and swapped that over to my BAEC number and will choose my seats when the seating chart gets loaded at T-335. I have Ba Gold but no status with IB+.

I've received 2 days ago an email from Iberia saying that they correctly received my documentation and (re)activated my IB+ account.

They also mentioned the following:

They haven't mentioned anything related to inconsistencies (and I correctly filled all name fields and didn't create duplicate accounts). I can also view and book (although I have no Avios) award tickets. Before I could only see availability when I "unlocked" my account when I generated a new pin through their app but not price as it asked me to call a phone number.

New account BTW, and I hope since I haven't received anything related to refunds, inconsistencies, and that I have purchased all tickets while logged in and correctly assigned them to my IB+ right after that it's a matter of time until they credit my Avios.

I am just as impatient and upset with the company as everyone in this thread, but I can still see availability for the dates I was looking to book, so in the end if they post my avios correctly and I manage to book the flights I planned initially then I won't try to sue or anything like that and "forgive" them for the huge delay..

So my personal account has been credited with the points (older existing account with points in it), however my wife's which is a new account has not. When booking the initial 10 flights for my wife I made sure she corrected the double Surname error prior to making the booking, She also ensured all of the bookings had her IB+ number attached to it. She submitted a request to unlock July 3rd and then got an email saying that she needed to submit her bookings in order to get credit for them on July 4. She submitted that the same day.

At this point she has a not received an email saying they found inconsistencies or received an email saying she will get the point. At this point what is the best thing to do? Should we take the no news is good news track and just wait longer; or should we call Iberia to see if they even received all of the documents they need (We have received the auto reply email received for every email received so far).

Interesting ... they seem to not always have the same response.

I'm patient as well. Whether the Avios post today or in a few days doesn't matter to me. That being said, while their response differs the outcome so far appears to have been the same for everyone -- no postings because of "inconsistencies."

On a different note, when the account was first locked, I was able to get back into the account using an approach kindly suggested by one of the other posters (thanks!). I was trying to do the same thing this weekend with the GF's account to fix a profile issue but it didn't work. Any one been able to get back into their account?
