I have a question, please, and apologies if dumb.
Belgium is excluded from the promo. Does it means that being Belgian resident I can't participate at all, or I can book on the ES, NL, IT websites (connecting from BE) for routes intra-Spain - or from/to eligible countries - and get the bonus avios? Opinions & thoughts?
Thanks

Hi I just find this super deal.
will buy 10 separate tickets and get 90k avios.
I don't need to fly and redeem for an award (planning oneWorld award) by Dec 1st.
I'm afraid 10 no-show will be recorded to my IB account which is connected to BA account.
Is there any potential risk?

Specifically, here ypuy will get 18k for yourself and nothing for the others. The terms clearly state the bonus is only paid for each person identified as an IB+ member duting the booking process ( so you can't even sign them up retrospectively)

There's going to be even more of a feeding frenzy on this, after the latest HFP article methinks.
Is there any risk with buying in line with the promotion but switching (later - day before travel even and well after the 10 day award deadline) the FF number in the booking to a BA one to enjoy the status benefits if you have it there).
I can't see a problem here, except maybe a few less avios earned through flying depending on what you actually book.
Thanks

I dont know... If u have a negative balance on your miles&more account they charge you a really high price after some time....
this could end up very expensive if u transfer avios to British airways...

New accounts / Early Posting / $27 tix!
I just got off the phone with their support (which was amazing, no wait and extremely polite agent) because I just setup an account for my partner and her new Plus number was not showing up on any of the tickets (as previously mentioned in this thread). I called to make sure she would earn the bonus on all 10 tickets. The agent went through each of the reservations and added the Plus/Avios number to the reservations,
and here's the important part, with each one she confirmed the bonus avios would be deposited on 6/30! So, it doesn't even look like their going to be taking the 10 days to post. These tickets were clearly throw-away tickets (1-ways 10 days in a row SDR>MAD) and the agent asked if they were booked for the promotion and acknowledged lots are doing the same.
Last bit of info, the SDR>MAD route still has tons of $27.73 availability in early 2019 when booking on the US site in USD.

Given all the fraud Avios seems to have had, and other airlines have had, with miles in some Asian locations, I'm a bit worried how this will turn out personally, but we'll see what happens. I guess we'll know in about 10 days, maybe.

How to see j availability quickly?
Before I jump on this, I wanted to make sure it'll be easy to burn that avios. I couldn't find any independent thread for this subject, I hope someone can tell me.
I'd like to redeem for a round-trip in j, lax/SFO-mad/bcn. I think ib metal requires the least amount of avios? I ran all searches round trip, not one way.
I tried on iberia.com, it's more y oriented, I have to search one day at a time to see j availability. I didn't find any availability between now till September.
ec section of Ba.com, after I enter city pairs and dates, click search, just give me errors.
Aa.com, I can't find any saver award seats on ib non stops.
And how are you guys planning to spend 90k by Dec?

after each booking I'm going back to Mr rebates and clicking "Iberia" again to reopen page, is that correct?
BTW SDR-MAD still available as noted above. Im booking Feb '19. It's going very smooth. Using Chrome. Info is auto-populating for FF#.

So here's my personal calculation.
I was already looking at flights to Colombia for next Spring, as I've always wanted to visit the country. Direct flights MAD-BOG in (LA-plated) IB Business are pricing out at €2,736. I can probably do a bit better so let's call the reference price €2,500 (for a direct flight in decent J).
IB redemption MAD-BOG-MAD has plenty of availability around my dates for 85k Avios + €191.33.
I have now bought 10 promotional tickets for a total of €278.51 so my total outlay will be €469.83. I consider that pretty good for direct flights on an IB A340 in J, considering I would struggle to find a revenue ticket even in Y for that price
My promo tickets are MAD-OVD (x7) plus 1 each of MAD-IBZ, MAD-MAH and MAD-SVQ. I reckon I will actually fly some of these promo sectors.
Assuming my 90k Avios credit next week (rumour has it overnight on 30/06) then I will booking MAD-BOG fairly soon thereafter
