- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Transfering 1 Avios from her BA account to her
This sucks so much - we want to redeem 100k Avios and she know has 92k in her IB account, and 8k in her BA account... Guess we'll just have to choose the option of paying fewer miles and more money, essentially buying Avios for 1.4 € CPM. Now I just regret having bought 2,400 Avios for 54€ (!), i.e. 2.25 € CPM, to "activate" her account...

No avios posted in both mine and my partner's account. Both accounts were new and locked. Have followed the above instructions to unlock, emailing Iberia with passports. Will update on progress. Thanks DebitNM for sharing.

Oh man, how I hate this. Was in the last step of booking "Blue Class" tickets.
Then decided it's cheaper to buy the missing Avios outright, rather than choose the lower mileage cost. Bought the missing miles, and now "Blue Class" isn't available anymore.
I wonder if the tickets are just temporarily "on hold" from my previous booking process, or gone forever?

Avios.com just informed me that they're having a technical problem with the transfers and that things should work again a bit later.

I tried to transfer both part and all of my newly acquired Avios (from IB to Avios.com) and it failed each time. However, when I transferred my previously earned points (only a few hundred) it went through fine. So its very possible that IB have actually put a block on transferring these rather than it being a technical problem.

To update the above, I just transfered a second lot (from my newly awarded bonus points) from IB to Avios.com and it worked - but only a few hundred points at a time. So there's no block on these being moved but there is a block on Avios being combined in large volumes.

Flying a short haul BA flight today, and thinking of crediting it to my new IB account (created 23 June) to see if that activity gets the account “active” - what are thoughts on this potentially working? Certainly would show that I’m a human and not a fake/pet account 😝
As a data point: New account, no avios yet. Booked 10 OVD-MAD flights on 24 June. IB Plus number held in my booking, as I created the account the day before bookings. Bookings made in UK, and account registered in UK. Was locked out yesterday, but used the App PIN reset.

BA check-in entered my (new and yesterday locked-out) IB number, and confirmed it’s a valid number on their system. Will update if this has any effect on my account / 90,000 avios deposit in coming days.
