- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Did any one receive involuntary change - flight cancelled emails from Iberia for those $30-ish flights? I received 5 cancellation emails for IB 559 Santander to Madrid in May / Jun 2019. Do we get a refund for these or what?
I am already at -90k avios (50k last minute booking and 40k transferred to BA). Can these involuntary changes screw up things further?

Annoyingly I was actually planning to use the flights too, I don't see a good alternative flight to take.
I think I'm just going to leave it, see what happens.

Got 1 cancellation. Used all my pts so I'm at 0 but hmm. asking for a refund now... Would they be smart enough to deduct 9k pts from my 0 balance? Still have 1 hotel rez. prepaid though.

9K IB flights canceled
I received emails from IB informing me several of my 9K flights were canceled and asked me to contact them. I truly don't care but do we get a refund on keeping the 9k miles?

The promo T&Cs made very clear that cancelling the paid ticket would result in forfeiture of the 9K bonus.
Now that 1 December has passed, will IB+ go around taking away already spent bonuses? Who knows... but they did follow through on making accounts go negative for those who transferred Avios to BA.
If you paid little for your flights, it is safer to just ask IB to rebook you on a different flight. If you want to take your chances with a refund, just understand the risks.

I had 5 "real " tickets and 5 throwaways from the 9k promotion.All five of my throwaways were just cancelled by Iberia .I plan on not asking or a refund but I wonder if Iberia can legally keep my money for a flight that they cancelled??If they go ahead and refund my money without me asking would I still lose the 9k x 5 tix??

Iberia has cancelled the flights, not the tickets... You continue to be entitled to transportation between two airports as purchased, but on a different flight. If you magically receive a refund instead of "call us to discuss your options", then your point might be valid.

I'm just catching up on this thread. I have my 9k promo flights Jan-Apr but I'm not planning to fly any of them. My 90k redemption flight is in July. I'm not planning on canceling any flights (or taking any other action). Is the consensus still that if I no-show all these flights I still should be fine for travel in July?

I am kind of glad to read that I am not the only one here. I got 4 schedule changes and 2 flights cancelled for flights in March - May, but my award flight bought with the Avios received from this promotion is only in August, so I was wondering what would happen.
