  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.
Iberia Plus offer 9000 per booking 21/JUN to 24/JUN on iberia.com
Terms and conditions of the offer are to be found here in post 14.

Are they both RT flights or did you (or rather the agent ) manage to book any one way with partner airline (QR in this case)?
I also completed my bookings (fortunately before log in problems, so it was stress free). I booked SCL-LIM-SCL in LA B787 J and SCL-MAD in IB A340 J.

I have sometimes seen one-way availability on QR and AY on the IB website as well. Never been able to figure out the reason for this though.

But was that able to be booked and ticketed?

Roundtrip for my infant son using my wife's account and roundtrip for myself using my own account. Looking forward to a nice trip to the sunny Middle East during the cold European winter!

I have spent my Avios with IB. Didn't want to take the risk and the flight I wanted to have was available on both BA and IB and IB taxes were somewhat lower anyway. I am a happy man.

Spent most of my miles for bookings through IB. (LHR-MAD-JFK-LHR, two separate bookings , only lHR-mad LEG in Y)

Would it worth taking the risk to transfer the remaining 2500 miles to BA exec club? What will the consequences be?

If you have no way to spend them through IB, I would probably transfer, but not spend them.
Worst case would be that your IB account gets a negative balance and you can transfer them back to pay your "debt".
If you leave them in the IB account, they will be deleted.
In fact, if you have non-promo Avios in your IB account, I would definitely transfer them out. I don't trust IB to get this right.

Quite a complicated booking: Wanted a connection that did not show up at Iberia.com and wanted to make a booking for an infant using a second Iberia Plus account (so the bookings needed to be linked). Talked to a very friendly gentleman on the phone that made the booking in about half an hour.

Have nothing but positive things to say about this Promo and Iberia in general.
but you didn't actually *fly* with IB !

if you had done, you might not have been quite so positive about them !!

BS, flying with IB is actually quite pleasant.
The only real issue with IB is their bad IT and callcenter.

same here, I spent 85k of the bonus but am going to transfer my whole, healthy IB balance to baec before the deadline. I know that if the I.T. goes t*ts up IB aint the best at fixing things.

Callcenter has been really good for me too (the one in Spain). They could have told me that I could only book the flights that showed online and that making a booking for an infant separately was not possible, but instead they were really helpful, no HUACA needed.

Also flew Iberia quite a few times (also in biz, long haul), no issues at all (apart from some strike related issues). Only redeemed Qatar because they are even better.

anyone else transferred the avios from IB+ to BA then used them up through BA and didn't receive the email? Can't find used for my IB avios since I need one-way flights and the only way is to transfer them to BA.. Have a healthy balance of non-promo IB Avios too so will transfer them out as well. Such a gamble all of this

Was on the 15th around 9 EST. I'd go phone route and try to explain the problem...if that's working, even.
