  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

i was emailing them A LOT (borderline spamming) and they have eventually given me the miles today
i've even sent them screenshots of what ID number i've submitted and they said it was mismatch like everyone else. (and that i did not submit my number whilst booking - but thats easy to prove)
then they've accepted my ID once 2 weeks ago, then not send me my PIN. I kept emailing and them saying mismatch, and voila this morning i got a PIN and the miles.

ok here's my little story

10 flights
only 2 credited initially
couple of days later sent them 1 email pro actively with all the confirmations + passport copy
sent 2 further e-mails asking for follow ups, only got "please be patient e-mails"
today all missing avios posted (and I already booked my reward flight)

this was one hell of an offer

I'm at wits end with these guys. Our story is as follows:

- Bought 10 tickets each for my girlfriend and I. Eight or nine of these tickets were purchased in pairs of two (one-way flights for the both of us on one reservation), and the remaining ones were purchased individually.
- Our Iberia numbers (which existed prior to this promotion) were included at the time of purchase and were reflected in the confirmation email.
- I received my 90,000 miles weeks ago, on time (even received the confirmation email).
- She still hasn't received her miles. She received an email from Iberia asking her to send some docs - she sent them immediately and has followed up 4-5 times since. Nothing. This makes no sense.

One note, which may be the complicating factor. She accidentally signed up for a second Iberia account just before we purchased these tickets, but ultimately we caught it and used her original account (again, it was an existing account set up well before the promotion).

Any ideas on other ways to follow up?

At this point they're well over one month late in awarding the miles - I would expect some extension on using them.

After a couple of angry e-mails copying those people as suggested above I finally got all my 90k credited today! Unfortunately for some of my friends who didn't do escalation e-mails their avios are still outstanding, so the escalation do help!!

Now time to figure out how I can actually burn the 90k! Thanks for all the help from everyone!

Anyone know if changing a flight purchased with the promo will cause the points to be clawed back? Iberia changed the times for a flight I plan on taking so I have a decent argument should push come to shove, but I'm curious if there are any DPs..

Hi, I messed up on one of my flights just last week and went through the whole change process. Here's how it works.

1) If it is an Iberia flight and you do not change class of service or routing, it can be changed by phone for the change fee €30(?)

2) If the change requires a change in class of service or routing you have to pay the fee, redeposit the miles and then book again. They say it takes 5 business days but it was faster (like 1 day) for me.

3) If you have a reservation on a OneWorld carrier you cannot make any changes.

Hope that helps!

Sorry, I meant a flight purchased to earn the 9000 miles. I'm actually planning on using that flight. I'm hoping I can get them to waive the fee since the flight time changed by a few hours. But I'm worried that might cause a refund of the miles I earned with the promo

Which email address did you use? I'm getting nothing but automated responses from [email protected], I called +44 3684 3774 and was told they couldn't deal with any enquiries regarding Iberia Plus and told to try +34 917 742 607 which led me to a queue which eventually went dead. Where do I try next??

From other posts it would appear +44 203 684 3774 does work, but you need to articulate the word Avios at the IVR prompt. If you end up down the Sales channel they don't appear to have a way of transferring you over.

Got personal email invitation to register IB Plus and participate in that promo. Made a reservation, booked 10 flights(about 275€ total). Only 2 of them the FF number was saved, others I added manually later. Got email that send a identity proof. Since I did not remembered which ID number I added to my account, I sent ID card. Then ping-pong started. After 4 emails of denial to activate account, I sent two copies of my ID and passport in the same picture and asked which one is fake. After that the account was activated and 90k points were added on the same day. I have redeemed 85k miles as for today.

I initially had 81,000 Avios post in June, but was missing 9,000. I sent several polite emails in July [in Spanish]. No response. On Tuesday, I sent another email CC'ing the four email addresses listed earlier in this thread. I received the missing 9,000 Avios that evening. Might just be coincidence, and I did not receive any emails from Iberia confirming the credit.

I finally got them, but I already had a bunch of Avios deposited recently (credit card bonus).

Is there a special way to redeem the award so it goes against the Avios with the time limit on it from the 9k per flight bonus? Or will they just check what you redeemed vs. what you were awarded?

I'm also interested in this, but more if I can get away with refunding the flight and not have my promotional Avios clawed back.

NB: There are several previous threads implying that you should be entitled to a free rebooking or cancellation if the schedule changes:

IB schedule change - "accept or refuse"?

Very minor Iberia schedule change - Can I refuse?
