- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

First flight booked fine.
Second flight we attempted to book the agent told us he couldn't see it, despite wide open BA availability in all classes, all showing on iberia.com. So we HUCA only to get the same agent who became belligerent and refused to transfer us to a supervisor. He hung up on us after I requested a feedback survey.
I'll give it some time before my next attempt...

Reiceved 90K last week and 90K yesterday.... will the congrats email and so on...

They really don't know what they are doing. Pure amateurs.

I got only 72k so I emailed to ask where is the rest. Within an hour I got the following response:
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences we may have caused you for not being able to respond until today the e-mail you sent us regarding our 9,000 Avios promotion.
In relation with the 9,000 Avios campaign for flights booked on iberia.com, we have reviewed your request and the information you supplied. We are studying you particular case. As soon as your case has a resolution, we will notify you.

i'm now sorry for not booked a flights right away altough i'm not sure if they couldn't just cancel my bookings.
What redemption limits do you have? I can't see any limit, the avios booking seems to work fine

I didn't book because I'm pretty sure they will cancel such tickets and found a way to close the account for negative balance. I don't trust them.

My wife’s new account just posted 90,000 Avios but my old account is still waiting
This is so weird. My wife created her account on June 21 and booked 10 flights. She got verified a week ago. And her points posted yesterday. I have a 4 year old account that has been used for flights using cash and using Avios, as well as having Avios in the account and my 90,000 points for the same flights and booked on the same day have not posted.

I sent proof of the flights I booked with the 9k Avios promo to Iberia on 05 July, they replied this morning with the 'we have sent your information to the relevant department' statement. For anyone who also got this email, how long did it take for your avios to post?

Many thanks to all who have posted their experiences and suggestions here. They have been instrumental in helping my family receive the full 90K in four of four accounts.
If Iberia fails to let new accounts book partner awards, there is very soon going to be a feeding frenzy on over the water, Iberia metal business class seats, and when those are gone, there
will be lots of people staying up to all hours to compete for the new award seats as they are loaded into the system each day. Best to get on it and book something now!
