Cancellation Question
 
Hello,

I booked a flight via Iberia Express low fare and we are no longer using this flight but I got an email saying there was a change and its landing 10 mintues earlier lol. Since its a change even if it is a change for the good could I get a refund and cancel flight?

Long shot but thought I should ask.

Not likely, but you can try. Nonetheless you should be able to request a refund of the tax portion.

I figured I'll give it a shot in a hour. I also paid extra for baggage is that refundable as well?

Does it also depart 10 minutes earlier? Couldn't you in this case argue that you wouldn't make it?

IB Express charges 25€ for the tax refund (IB mainline does not), so sometimes even if you can ask for a tax refund, it might not be wise to do it.
