A330 vs A333 on AA website

I am booking my trip to Madrid on AA's website. Booking J. One flight has aircraft type A330 the other A333. I want to fly in their new biz seats and wanted to know if anyone knows the difference. Flying out of JFK and return is into ORD. Thanks!

Iberia has A 330-300, this is the official verison.
If you see A 330 or A 333, yes, then it is an airplane with the new Business Class configuration.

My flight shows A340-200 in July. I assume that's the old config and won't be upgraded by the time I fly?

@slider34

As the A 340-200/300 will be taken out of service by Iberia step by step, and only the A 340-600 will be up-graded with the new business class.

Hence your flight will be the old one, sorry!

No problem, any business class is better than no business class. Thanks for the info!

Watch out with that, though. As the AA site isn't always accurate. I booked IB6123 for next week wednesday and AA showed (and still shows) it as 'A333', whilst Iberia, flightaware and the Oneworld timetable all show it as 'A342'.

I'm still hoping everyone except AA got it wrong and I'll still get an A330-300, but I doubt it.

Edit: It just reverted to A333 on the IB site, lucky me. The Oneworld timetable is still incorrect, though.
