Also, I don't believe that IB6253 is seasonal. You can see the recent flights here, and also note the grab-bag of equipment being used:

And nobody knows which plane IB6253 will be because its a seasonal flight not in operation yet?
Until April 2014 they get 3 A330 more. So I think you will have the new C until then.

Sorry I was misreading the flightaware yesterday and couldn't see 6253 so presumed it was a seasonal flight

Oh well flying 6th April so will just wait till closer to the time and check to see which plane it looks like it'll be

Does anyone have experience flying the new Business Class A330? In particular, I am interested in the difference between the mini-cabin (rows 8 & 9) and the main cabin. Thank you!

I had 4 or 5 x the main cabin, and only 1 x the mini-cabin.
Prefer the main cabin, as it is less noisy.
If you have row 9 nine, and if I recall well I had row 8, a lot of noise came from Economy, especially as in first row of Economy is space for a baby bed. And not all babies sleep the whole night,...

I have not flown in the mini-cabin, but that is because I generally avoid them (on all airlines) because they are typically more susceptible to noise/light from economy or the galleys. The other thing that can be annoying is that pax from the front of Y often try and cross the curtain to use the lavatories between rows 7 and 8 (rather than walking back 10-15 rows to wait for the busier ones aft). Whether they are successful is dependent on enforcement by the FAs and the aggressiveness of Y pax.

All in all, my preference would typically be for something in the row 2-5 range, though will allow others more experienced with IB and this equipment to chime in.

Thank you spainfly and sk3x! Can I count on the Iberia seatmap being accurate? Are the seats staggered as they appear? As a couple, I would assume we would want a row where the middle seats are together as opposed to the ones where we are seated more on the aisle. Is this correct?
Thanks again!

I think what's on the top of this page and on SeatGuru should be accurate: http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Ibe...s_A330_300.php

So you'd probably want the EG seats.

A330 to CCS has already started this week. Replacing the A346.

FWIW, would also like to mention I had the opportunity to try ABs new business class seat and IBs new biz seat is infinitely more comfortable.

+1

I flew in 4A yesterday, and that seat was ideal from the perspectives of quiet and privacy.

(The aircraft was EC-LUB, and the cabin and seats were in near-new condition - very well maintained) ^

Have now flown the new business twice: Buenos Aires to Mad and Miami to Mad. And the old layout on the A340 outbound to Panama and BA.

Don't choose the aisle seats. Your feet are very exposed. If a couple, the middle pairs on the odd numbered rows in the A330 are good (you'd want to be a couple, I could feel my wife's bottom touching mine!).

If solo, then the window seat. Or if a couple and you don't mind sitting apart then window seats good too. (our choice!)

My wife are flying from JFK to MAD (same route back) this summer (6251/6252). We just received a notification that our seats were changed to 4E and 4G.. I looked on seatguru (map)and the picture above, but I don't see a 4E/4G... do we get a lay-flat place on the floor?

Seriously, anybody have a link to seat map with that layout? Thanks!

Hi everyone, just booked business class on the A346 from São Paulo to Madrid, you can tell if you are flying the new business class as Iberia designates the aircraft as A345 (Iberia doesn't have any 500 series just uses it to identify the new refurbished A346). Does anyone know if all of business class is in one cabin or if there is a mini cabin on the new configuration A346?

Thanks
