Avios questions
 
Hi all,

Ideally I would like to book GVA-GRX (Granada) with Avios.
Seems not bookable on the BA site with BA Avios - on Iberia's it's bookable for 9000/OW.

If I need to set up an IB account and transfer Avios into it, do I need to:

1. Have an UK address ?
2. Wait for 3 months before the transfer could be made ?
3. Have had prior activity in the new account ?
4. If so, what easy non-flight activity would qualify ?

No, yes, yes, any activity (hotel, rental, Amex MR, etc)

Maybe you should call BA, I believe they will be able to help you book the flight.

Update:

That's exactly what I did.
I knew thru the Qantas site that there was availability for my desired date.
But there seemed to be a glitch with the BA site and after repeated calls, 3 agents later and some guidance by a knowledgeable phone agent I was able to see availability thru Executive club and was able to book online.
Persistence paid off ^
