How do you get elite points and how many?
For a flight EZE-MAD-AMS MAD-EZE O code. How many elite points you will get? Is any challenge, status match or anything on IB?
Should i get it in IB or BA? AA was my first choice but they only give 60% miles, not 100%.
Thanks

I don´t know where stands O code in Iberia, but you can have an idea in the link below where says "View Avios earning table and Elite points"

Travelling in O and assuming no status on each card you would earn;
Crediting on IB+;
Flying IB via MAD:
· 6800 Avios
· 470 Elite Points
43% of IB+ Ruby, 21% of IB+ Sapphire and 8% of IB+ Emerald
Flying BA via LHR:
· 9284 Avios
· 370 Elite Points
34% of IB+ Ruby, 16% of IB+ Sapphire and 6% of IB+ Emerald
Crediting on BAEC;
Flying BA via LHR:
· 14859 Avios
· 100 Tier Points
33% of BAEC Ruby, 17% of BAEC Sapphire and 7% of BAEC Emerald
Flying IB via MAD:
· 14336 Avios
· 100 Tier Points
33% of BAEC Ruby, 17% of BAEC Sapphire and 7% of BAEC Emerald
Compare fares from both, something tells me IB will be cheaper.
IB are more generous with Elite Points/Tier Points it seems, whereas BA are more giving with Avios but then again BA's redemption tickets are ridiculously expensive with fuel surcharges.
Personally I would go IB via MAD crediting to IB+ solely based on Elite Points.
Hope this was useful and enjoy your trip!

Great Help! I think BA would be better because with IB with 940 elite points you don't get status and you get less Avios. With BA you don't get status either but you get more Avios.
No such thing as an IB+ challenge or status match AFAIK, sorry. Don't know about BA.
