any idea if the "pay in advance" rates on hyatt.com count since they are "discounted" rates I'm not sure if they would... I'm taking the risk and trying it.

Did you already have a GP account or did you register through the link? I haven't seen any indication as to whether the offer only applies to new GP members.

My Hyatt stay posted from last Friday.
Shows earning 500 miles.
No line showing 5000 UA mile bonus. Can someone advise if that should be showing?
Posted as paid with MasterCard. Now we will see if there is a sweep for this bonus. Will advise.
After calling and waiting while confirmed given 1W bonus. What a pain.

Just on the line with agent. She had to do nothing but now showing.
Credit for stay.
500 miles for rate paid.
1W Diamond amenity bonus of 1000 points.
5000 UA miles for promotion.

If I "choose miles" to make use of the UA 5.5k miles per stay, which type of points credits are/aren't then applied to my account. From what I understand:
points for $ spend: NO
G1/G2/G3 bonuses: NO
Diamond 1k amenity: YES
MCard 2.5k bonus: YES
Is this correct? What other points bonuses am I missing?

We should be. I called and asked for Welcome Diamond points for my Hyatt Place stay. Refused. Too bad all agents and sups are not trained properly on this. I don't have the energy to keep asking for.
