Based upon requests, this is now a wiki - please feel free to edit - but please only post the suite that you are confirmed into and not what you ultimately get (eg PH Vendome books into Park Suite but many ultimately get a Park Executive Suite). I'll start with that one for formatting example - I will try to do refinements to this when I have some time later.

To check the room type you booked into, you may use Hyatt E-Concierge:

Hyatt Regency Sharm el Sheik, Egypt

1) Hyatt Regency Sharm el Sheik, Egypt
2) http://sharmelsheikh.regency.hyatt.c...ocale=&start=9
Its called Regency Suite King, the only suite type which you can upgrade with the Diamond upgrades
3) 800 sft ... but it looks smaller, but has a huge balcony
4) One bed/living room, one big bathroom
5) very happy, had a 110 euro rate , used upgrade, reg.price about 600
6) very nice treatment there, nice regency club, extremly clean hotel, big, private beach for Regency club, would return, BUT just came back from a one wek trip: No day under 40 C ! and thats warm , we usually drank about 6-10 liters a day ( no beer , though)

Just confirmed a Park Suite King at PH- Saigon for 5 nights in September.

Listed as 70 sqM
Separate bedroom/living area

Will post more after stay...One thing I was noticing. Do the Park Hyatt's have clubs/lounges? I couldn't find a reference on the web-site.

This will be only my 2nd time staying at a PH - actualled stayed at the same property in 2006 (as a non-Diamond at the time) so I never knew if there was a club or not?

Secured a Governor's Suite (one of several), oceanfront, for a one-night stay on a government rate. My Private Line agent contacted the hotel. The suite is spacious, with a dining/living room that juts out towards the pool, plus a patio facing the ocean. My suite was on the 2nd floor of the 4-story structure, higher levels (such as the RC level) being unavailable. The 1st floor suites would be quite bad, with shrubbery hiding views.

Around 10% of the hotel's rooms are suites, but less than half are oceanfront because of the hotel's sideways "E" design with the oceanfronts at the tips of the E. The oceanfronts are directly above the Pacific Coast Highway, and some distance from the surf, but road noise is relatively muffled and I do prefer this location overall.

Hyatt Scottsdale Gainey Ranch

1.Hyatt Scottsdale Gainey Ranch
2.Club suite- http://scottsdale.hyatt.com/hyatt/ho...cale=&start=10
3.Not sure of the size
4. One bedroom/one bath, it is a junior suite. This suite only comes with a king bed.
5.No D
6.I would not waste a suite upgrade at this hotel for a club suite!

I agree. I would take a Premium View room over a Club Suite.

Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay
Some confusion at CKI when the agent could not find the upgrade. After some searching we were given a VIP suite in the main building. Large suite 1BR, very large sitting/dining, 1 1/2 bathroom. Probably 900sqf or so, but overall a little dated. Club was closed so vouchers provided (15$ per day, and full BF for 2).

Coconut Point
Very nice Bay suite, almost at a 2BR/2 bathroom sizing. We love this hotel, despite the little downgrading of the RC offering.

Just a little comment, I've just become Diamond, and was very impressed by my Hyatt stays, esp. compared to my SPG Plat experiences recently. Just hope I will be able to requalify with Hyatt, as there are almost no properties in Europe...

Grand Hyatt Jakarta

I booked this hotel just a few days before I stayed. I called up to use a paper cert, earlier this year, just before it expired. I called the US number for the suite upgrade, with no problem. However, when checking in, they had no record of it. They did put me in a suite anyway, with no problems.

1. Grand Hyatt Jakarta
2. Grand Suite.
3. 100 SM
4. 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom. Separate jacuzzi tub and shower.
5. Yes, A
6. A very nice suite, with fresh fruit, living room, walk in closet, dining table and more. Small TV in bathroom, as well.

The lounge was quite nice, the only downside was the included breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. About what I'd expect if I were paying $40, not $160. All other 4 and 5 star hotels I've eaten at were much superior.

I have stayed at the GH-Jakarta many times. I'm not sure I understand your last comment. You mean they didn't give you breakfast at the Cafe? Or you were unhappy with the quality?

They always include it for me and I think it's a very nice buffet. FYI, they will also bring you egg dishes (omelette, etc) if you take your breakfast in the Grand Club lounge.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience getting one of these e-upgrades redeemed tonight for a future stay. I have a week long conference at the GH Kauai in January, was able to confirm an Ocean front suite upgrade from my mid-three hundred range corporate rate for all 5 nights of the stay. I am temtped to use another one for a few nights in HNL, but would rather get in the queue for a Plat upgrade at the Moana across the street, those suites are amazing.

To the poster above who asked about the Park Hyatt SGN, there is no club, but you get a fab breakfast in the main restuarant and as a general matter food is very reasonable in SGN so get out an enjoy it and you wont miss a lounge. By the way, I like the suites on the pool floor (I think it's 5th floor), in particular the one at the very end of the hall is private, has a nice sitting area and direct access into the pool. Enjoy your stay, one of the best properties in Asia!

Ditto. Got the exact same "Club Suite" Confirmed Suite upgrade at Gainey Ranch myself recently. And I fully agree, I would not waste a suite upgrade at this hotel for this room unless I had no other use for my upgrades. I'd say this Suite is maybe 150 Sq Ft larger than a standard room. The only real positive about it is there is a couch and coffee table in the room making it a slightly easier room to relax in if you wanna watch TV or host some friends.

Save your upgrades for a better Suite at a different hotel IMHO. ^^^

I found the quality of the food in the Cafe to be far below other nicer hotels I've stayed in the area. Say the IC or the LM. I found the lounge to be quite nice, and the employees very service orientated.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but can I continue to use Diamond Suite Upgrades after my Diamond status has lapsed ? The expiration date of my awards is later than the expiration date of my Diamond status. The T&C don't mention anything about that.

And as a variation: can I make a booking with the Upgrades now while my Diamond status will have expired when I check-in ?
