register and set up pick up time. And the great thing with this service is you can actually call them and speak English with someone on the other end. I had to do this with the second load to inquire if it will be pick up - she reply saying they have it at hand and will be delivered b4 6pm. Excellent service. I believe they have many locations around Shanghai contracted to wash and fold the clothes. And the contractor adheres to a standard. I wish they have this in other cities in China, Taipei and Tokyo. If this goes well, I am sure they will expand.

I will be staying at Park Hyatt Shanghai in the NYE! So looking forward to it.
I have a question- I booked 1 suite & 2 rooms for 7 of us, 5 adults and 2 kids. I am the only one who has diamond in the group. I wonder, will all of us be eligible to the diamond benefit like breakfast? Thanks.

Per the rules, you shouldn't be. At most it should apply to your room, up to 4 guests.

Personally, I wouldn't feel good about myself even requesting that. If it was offered I'd be very grateful -- and express that. But I wouldn't even consider asking.

Did PH Shanghai just add in a new suite category?

Staying here now. Not sure how they are getting away with it, but the Internet is completely un-filtered. It looks like traffic is being routed through Hong Kong. Anyways Google and Facebook work great in the guest rooms.

Vpns and dedicated lines are common. Availing of such isn't "getting away" with anything.

Lovely. We had a bund view theoretically but only saw it the first day we were in Shanghai.

Do all Park Suites have a view towards the Pearl TV Tower and the Bund or do they have them back side facing away as well? Spending a few nights in Feb and picked this hotel in part for the nice views (assuming it isn't to foggy/smoggy).

No, there are Park Suites that don't have the money view and face out to the Shanghai sprawl. Email ahead of time to try to confirm the view you want.

They've split the Park Suite into two categories - one which is the base suite. The ones with views are now called Bund View Suites, and aren't eligible for DSU. Pretty annoying.

Wow, that's very annoying.

Deferring to revenue stays over upgrades for these suites would be understandable, but just excluding them outright by creating a new category is really unfortunate.

Thanks for the responses. Sad to hear they have broken them into 2 categories and that the likelihood of the awesome view is not high. I'll try to email regardless and see what they say. Worst case they say no.
