It's also on the web under Residence Al Maaden (www.almaaden.com) - plenty of pictures including this 'club house' with plenty of Chefs in the pictures. No need for a password. You can also contact CBRE directly, should you wish to purchase a villa - not sure how many points you need.

And..... it continues to show a 2014 opening date. But there's no information on the website as to the property.

Now says summer of '14. Anyone have any more concrete opening dates?

I like that. Where did you see it? The hotel page simply says:

Park Hyatt Marrakech - Opening in 2014

I see an announcement on the right that says: Opening Summer 2014

Discover rare and intimate experiences at two new premier hotels, Park Hyatt New York and Park Hyatt Vienna.

I don't want to be a buzzkill but if you really want to experience the culture I highly suggest staying within the walls of the medina.

Be a buzzkill when it's actually open...... this seems perfect for those that want a bit more peace and quite and maybe enjoy some golf.
There is a market for those travelers that want to go everywhere and not see much of the local areas. I could name a few bloggers :-).

^That's totally understandable. Looking back I just would have been extremely upset at myself had I stayed in anything other than my $5usd/night hostel down an endless alleyway in the middle of the medina. Obviously that's a stretch for most, but there are some really nice properties within the walls that effectively bridge the gap between culture and luxury, and I think it's something future travelers should be aware of :-:. cheers

I had hoped for one night in December, but it is not to be. The home page has been updated to say that it opens in 2015.

Park Hyatt Marrakech - Opening in 2015

(And yes, I am at a riad in the medina otherwise.)

Here's an update: I had a glimpse at Park Hyatt Marrakech the other day when I drove by enroute to Amanjena. It looks very nice from what I saw and will be a stunning property. Not far from the Medina, too. But a 2015 opening is very ambitious. Most locals said they expect an opening in 1.5 years.

This article has a "statement" from a Hyatt Rep stating that it will not open until 2017. At the bottom:

Editor note: An earlier edition of this story stated the Park Hyatt would open this year. A Hyatt rep told us the resort will actually open in 2017

Am hoping to visit this new property January 2017.

Does anyone have an update on real date of opening?
