Consecutive Hops? What is your record

I'm currently hopping between Hyatts.. out of necessity (need points for upcoming trip). It had me thinking... what is everyone's record for consecutive hops? What do I mean by this?

Let's say...
Monday - Check in to Hotel A
Tuesday - Hotel B
Wednesday - Hotel A
Thursday - Hotel C
Friday- Sunday - home
Monday - C

Even though, there's a break due to being at home... I would still count Monday as a consecutive hop. The example above would be 5 hops. Notice how Hotel C is on Thursday and Monday. There was a destination in between, so that still counts.

I am currently on #19 (as defined above) and counting. For nights in a row, my longest was 8 nights in a row of hopping. What is everyone else's record?

I also did 5 nights in a row (3 different hotels) but all in the same week.

Mine is probably somewhere between 30 to 40 in a row.

Nine nights and nine hotels for last years 2X stay promo. I was happy to be leaving Denver five mins after I checked in for #9:D.

You should be at 38 stays on the year in that case due to the current 2x stay promo, which is well past re-qualified for Diamond for next year. Why do you continue hopping? I hop around for status, but once I've requalified, I have a hard time motivating myself to hop around just to get a few bonus points. Are you hopping for status requalification or for fresh nightly 1W/G bonuses only?

Quite honestly I rarely stay more than one night at a time at the same hotel.

For example I am going to be in Bangkok for 10 days in the next two weeks and will hop between IC, SPG proprties, and the Hyatt.

Actually it is not that difficult because the status brings the early and late check out privileges among others. Promos are typically based on stays - not nights - so it does easy the pain.

It wasn't about status requal for me. My parents have a trip abroad in March, and I have to hit a certain amount of points so they won't need to pay for hoteling, so I've been suffering for them. The 1W and G bonuses make a difference. Actually, it was shuttling between Hyatt Places for a couple of weeks to get the 2500 bonus as well.

But what do you tell your boss? wife? girlfriend? boyfriend? etc?

When I travel I am required to leave a contact list at work - and I can assure you that if I was visiting BKK and left a list of ten different hotels, there would be some serious gossip.

On a practical note, how do you handle laundry?
