Farewell
Dear Hyatt Gold Passport Flyertalkers,
I'd like to take this opportunity to let you all know that I am pursuing new opportunities outside of Hyatt. Thank you for your support of Hyatt Gold Passport over the years. You have been instrumental to the program's success. I look forward to joining you as a Hyatt Gold Passport member! Best regards, Amy Weyman Vice President Hyatt Gold Passport |
Good luck in your new venture.
Gold Passport is a good program you will enjoy!!! |
Good luck in your new job.
Are they giving you lifetime Diamond as a going away gift? :D :D :D |
:confused: Who is leaving? Karen? Does this mean there will be no more GP Concierge on FT for good?
Did Amy Weyman write that post? Isn't she a bigwig within GP? IIRC, everything that comes from GP has her name/signature on it........... Good luck Karen with whatever you do...................................^ |

Thank you Amy and best wishes!

I am sure it's Amy Weyman, and not Karen who is leaving ... I hope this does not mean that a drastic change in the program is looming.

THANK YOU!!! Not over yatt'it?
Thank you very much, Karen or Amy. Just what you say here is huge.
Nom de plume or nom de sauris, YOU REALLY HAVE BEEN WATCHING ALL ALONG!!! [I had a feeling..... A few years ago at a do for UA 1Ks in BOS, Pat Mash, then-VP of Mileage Plus attended and spoke, and actually gratuitously addressed comments they had received from local 1Ks, I mean without prompting. Jaws dropped, especially those 1Ks.] I hope that everyone who posts to the Gold Passport and FT forums sees this. And although Randy Petersen probably is already aware of the attention these boards get from industry decisionmakers, I hope someone calls Amy's/Karen's post to his attention. He should be justifiably gratified. Also, Amy, while I know your post was your exit, please say it wasn't over yatt'it! |

Still, I'm surprised Amy Weyman (a vice president of Hyatt) would take the time to write here. Heck, I'm surprised she's ever even read FT. Also, I checked around and couldn't find any news of Amy Weyman leaving Hyatt, that's why I think Karen left. I'm sure Amy's leaving would have probably been in the news. Plus she never posted here so why would they feel the need to tell us she left anyways????? That's why its my guess that Karen is gone. Now my only question is: Is there a replacement in the works???????????????????? Maybe they can bring Julia Moore back?? Her maternity leave must be about over now. :D |

I guess maybe I'm just slow on the uptake (or maybe it's too late at night and my brain isn't functioning properly). :D
I was just a little surprised that Amy Weyman would specifically say goodbye to FTers as I'm certainly not aware that she ever read or posted on FT. Plus it seems surprising that she would leave Hyatt as she's been there like 15 years I read and is VP of Marketing for Hyatt Corp. I've loved the GoldPassport program for the most part so great job with what you did Amy and good luck in the future. ^ |
Good luck with your new opportunities!
To whomever is going to replace Amy: Please do not do any drastic "enhancements" besides bringing back the second yearly FFN period for the Summer. ;) |
I'm pretty sure it's Amy. I'm also fairly certain that the FT id is shared by several people at GP to make sure it gets coverage.

Dear Amy:
THANK YOU for heading up the very best affinity program, airline or hotel, I have ever participated in. I can honestly say that I have found more value in Hyatt's program than in any other program I have participated in. And while I have received a lot from Hyatt, the program also has caused me to direct almost all of my hotel spending to the brand, so I think and hope that in that manner it was successful as a win-win. All one can wish for is that with your departure there is not an attempt to fix "what ain't broken". I have never had the opportunity to meet you personally, but I cannot let my comments come to an end without saying how gracious and competent everyone is at Gold Passport. That kind of attitude simply must come from the top down, so I commend you for developing a culture of good service. Gold Passport is, quite simply, a pleasure to deal with. THANK YOU kindly, and best of luck in your new endeavors. ^ Jordan Silber |
