Do double stays earn Platinum extra certs?
 

Ok I'm confused

I've stayed twice at a amerisuites which is becoming a hyatt place and because of the double stay benefits, now have 4 stays listed. Yet I've heard nothing from Hyatt about getting a Platinum extra certificate which is supposed to come after 3 stays.

am i entitled to one if i got the three stays, no matter how i got them?

You are not.

You don't really have FOUR stays, just four credits towards elite qualification.I don't think that it is reasonable for you to expect a certificate after three credits. Just to be sure, have a look at the definition of "elgible stay".

my profile says

Qualified stays ytd 4
Qualified nights ytd 2

the hyatt web site says under the platinum benefits:
"Earn a Platinum Extras Award after every third stay providing you with a selection of benefits from which to choose"

but in another get the bonus certs "after every third eligible Hyatt stay" (bold face added)

i suspect you are right that it doesn't qualify, but i've asked hyatt
