Weird rate quotation returned on hyatt.com
Last night (and again today) I checked on the whole range of dates (from today through 1/31) to double check the rates that I have booked have not declined. At first pass the rate returns $25 lower for the entire range but then after I cancelled the existing reservations I tried to rebook the individual dates and they all return to the rates that I have booked. It also returns to the higher rate when I search on the entire date range again. GRRRRRRR. Same thing again this morning (I knew better than to cancel the existing reservations this time).

I've seen this happen a couple of times also. Not very often though.
I hate using a date range because it's so buggy. Next time, double book yourself & cancel the one you don't want immediately. I've done it without any problem. |
Hyatt.Com does produce different rates when using a range rather than a single night. I've seen it a bunch of time, especially for Sunday nights.

Try clearing your cookies. Once you have taken up a quote for the higher rate, it sometimes returns the higher rate for even a subset of dates in that range. I have experienced this myself.
By the way, if you ever pull a lower rate, keep your existing reservation and just CALL reservations - they can update the rate on your existing reservation and promptly email you a revised printed confirmation for your records. |
