Nice room, nice staff

Upgraded to a corner King which is a very large room with some odd architectural touches.
Room 1025 (Club Level) you enter onto a carpeted hall, bathroom faces the front door, main room to the left is a standard size room with two large windows in the corner-one of which is a slider which opens to a very small balcony. There is an odd little nook behind the HVAC outlet-too small to be of any use except for luggage storage. There is a nice chaise lounge with a cantilevered work table and reading light in the corner, a large desk/entertainment center/dresser unit(with a plug-n-play panel) a very comfy bed and two nightstands. All case and soft goods are in excellent condition. Bathroom is of regular size but only a shower unit.Room is clean and very well maintained.

One item I should note is that this is a VERY noisy area even on weekends. The nearby fire station,A light rail trolley, the Cathedral's chimes and a huge flock of crows that live in the Sycamores across the street all went off at 7 a.m. this morning so if you are a light sleeper earplugs or a sound machine might be a good idea.

I Visited the Regency Club on Sunday night and early Monday morning. Very small and dark room but with nice furnishings. Very nice spread of nibbles in the evening and a very good breakfast spread in the morning. Lovely staff manning the lounge.

Lock problem

Another confirmation that the club is closed on the weekends. I was in town for a wedding and apparently it was a very popular weekend for weddings, as there was a 20-person line at check-in when I got to the hotel. I rushed over to the machines to check into my upgraded suite (using my Diamond upgrade certs) and was pleased to be moved into room 1142 into the Capitol Suite. It was a nice size living room (although it was dark with no windows), connected to the bedroom which had natural light from the windows. The closet was in the very big bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient.

My trouble with this stay begin as I left the room an hour after check-in, where I come to discover that there was a battery problem with the door. My card key would not work again throughout my stay and it required me to get a staff member to escort me to the room every time I had to enter the room. They were very gracious about this, however, it would have been nice if they had engineering staff fixing the lock, as I was told that this would happen each time someone escorted me to the room throughout my stay.

As the lounge was closed, I was offered breakfast at the restaurant, which was great. The staff there was super friendly and the food was delicious.

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Capitol. The staff was super friendly. All in all, other than the key problem, it was a good stay.

Can anyone confirm if the property offers any cocktail hour on Saturdays in an alternate venue since the club is evidently closed?

I just booked a stay at this property and used a suite upgrade to the Park Capitol Suite. In looking at this thread, I'm a bit confused on the suite situation. Is there just one suite or are there multiple on the property?

This is their standard entry level suite, one is located on every floor. The living area has no windows... just the bedroom. It's nicely decorated but can be dark. I prefer the corner rooms at this hotel, not the suites.

Just stayed here on a pretty reasonable weekend AAA rate. In Sac to run the Shamrockin' half marathon. Similar comments to others.

Booked a corner room. They would not upgrade me to a suite without burning a DSU (yes I know that's the rule as written, just letting people know my experience). Room was quite nice, spacious, modern, with view of the park and capitol. Regency Club was closed for weekend, they proactively offered 2,500 points. Breakfast amenity is full buffet for up to four guests, including gratuity. Buffet was very solid. Not huge, but reasonable selection and good quality. Service was great.

I think the biggest downside is the street noise, as the rooms do not seem to be well noise insulated.

I would definitely stay again. Friendly staff and a great location.

Street noise continues to be a ongoing problem. Good thing they did not have a vip bus parked outside.

New lounge schedule

Stayed here over the weekend. Nice stay-but there was a change that was enacted during my stay regarding the Regency Club lounge
Lounge is now open Monday night- Friday morning.

This is a great Hyatt property- mainly because of the staff.

This is a bad thing? I'll take the 2500 points plus a full restaurant breakfast every single time.
