Seeking Stay experience at Amerisuites Las Vegas

I am considering this property for a one nighter.
Would appreciate feedback from any Gold Passport members who may have first hand experience positive or negative with this property.

Thank You

Cheers

Secondhand Feedback

My daughter stayed there about 3 weeks ago for 1 night on points. They arrived late and left the next day for a casino hotel, so she didn't say a lot other than it was "okay". The one thing she did mention was that it was directly under the flight path of the airport and there was a constant stream of jets flying overhead. She said the noise was very bad when standing outside, but they did not hear it in the room. Thus, I don't think you'd want to sit out by the pool! I assume you already know it's across the street from Hard Rock and not on the Strip. If no one else has firsthand experience, I can ask her more details and report back next week.

As my flights to Vegas have landed late I've stayed a few times as for 3k it is pretty good value for an eight hour stay. The hotel is basically okay, but not extraordinary. It is a typical low cost hotel, clean, relatively comfortable, but not particularly modern and not a lot of service. I also noticed a lot of airline crews staying.

The room has a small sitting area when you come in with a sofa and desk and complementary Internet that worked well. There is a small divider before the sleeping area, but does feel like one big room.

The airport proximity is convenient and they do have a complementary shuttle. The airport noise varies a little by room, the first time I was there I did notice it, but was okay sleeping. Other times I did not notice.

The hotel is off the strip and they do have a shuttle to take you there, but it doesn't go all that frequently and it is a good distance. You'll save money over the strip on room rates, but would definitely be better off with a car which could add to the cost. Parking is free and plentiful.

Breakfast was okay, with some hot choices including eggs and do it yourself waffles. However, they didn't have it ready by 6:00 am as promised, started getting ready then. Health club is pretty small and sad. I also seem to remember that they have what is supposed to be an optional safe charge that I found pretty annoying as they weren't always giving the full story on how not to pay it.

My bottom line is it is good for a one nighter to save some cash on arrival in Vegas, or a place to sleep in each night if that's all you're looking for. As I'd be looking for more from the hotel, personally I wouldn't spend a vacation here, but will likely stay again for one night.

Thanks all.How is the comfort of the beds?
I think these properties may take flight and be very popular when they are converted down the road to the Hyatt Place brand.

I don't remember having any big complaints, but I can sleep on most beds. They are in line with an inexpensive hotel, definitely not extraordinary, and not as many pillows as I'd like.

Pretty mediocre property. Lots of external airport noise throughout the day and evening as it is too close to the airport. The free buffet breakfast was reheated sausage patties and some cold pastries (straight from refrigerator).

Parking is a joke if the Biergarten next door is having a huge party or if it's the weekend. The only advantage is that it is one of the closest hotels to the airport so you can sleep an extra 10 mins before fighting your way to the line at Terminal D.

Unfortunately, Hyatt Lake Las Vegas is WAAAYYYY out in the middle of nowhere and the casino is a real sorry site too. I usually end up at one of the Hilton family (Embassy, Hilton or DoubleTree) just to keep up my status and gain points
