Quick question to anyone who has stayed there - does the Blue Spruce suite have a separate door from the bedroom and an additional 1/2 or full bathroom? I was planning on hosting some guests during the Great American Beer Fest this fall and want to know if the suite is blocked off from the bedroom/master bath.

Very positive stay here.
Stayed for 4 nights on points as globalist.
Paid rates were very high due to two simultaneous conventions. Rates were $500+ for base rooms.
we spent 12k points per night.
As other people stated, things are generally efficient and pleasant. Breakfast was quite solid (good omelette!) and always seated right away.
as glob, we got:
- 2 bottles of water
- free parking ($60/nt)
- upgraded to one of the suites (blue spruce I think?)
- free breakfast each morning
The only negatives for me might be very particular:
- there is no desk in the suite. Pretty surprised by that. I needed to work so used the glass dining table. Some minor hiccups with optical mouse and no plug nearby.
- sort of surprised there wasnt a second half bath or powder room given size of suite
All in all, fantastic stay for 12k/nt

Just completed a 3+1 night stay (extended a night) for a total of 54k points and a TSU during the Great American Beer Fest. The hotel also had a conference going, so the place was hopping [you could easily tell which group was which]. An excellent stay all around:
- right next door to the convention center, so a great place to pre-/post-party for the GABF
- two welcome drink coupons cashed in for a pair of old fashioneds and enjoyed by the rooftop bar fireplace
- Blue Spruce suite on the 27th floor was spacious, and they "found" an additional day of suite availability that wasn't available on the website, so I added a day to the reservation
- front desk personnel were on the ball during the stay, although some breakfast charges slipped through after checkout that required a phone call to accounting
- frighteningly fast elevators
- extremely friendly and competent servers and bartenders
- unbelievable nearby access to multiple bus, tram and train lines
- very cool rooftop deck/hot tub area
- I preferred having a large dining table to a desk. The SO and I could both grab our laptops and papers and spread out.
The breakfast buffet was of good quality, but I'm not sure who would pay $25 for it when there is a very good "to-go" restaurant in the lobby. It was essentially a HP breakfast spread + an omelet station. Also, while the Blue Spruce suite claims to "accommodate up to 20 guests" with a large kitchenette area, it has no glassware, plates, bottle opener, etc.

How is this property with upgrades? Grand Hyatt is great but the HR is a bit cheaper so debating giving it a try. Reading through the past posts it looks like they're decent but not sure if anything has changed post covid.

Historically HR has more room inventory to upgrade too and for that reason and the hard product its my go to in Denver
Grand Hyatt does a good job too in the past as well
perhaps some others here have some more recent experiences

anyone know what kind of coffee makers are in the suites? Was hoping for a Nespresso, but probably asking too much.

Just finished a three-night stay, Tues/Wed/Thurs, while in town for a conference next door at Colorado Convention Center. As an Explorist, received upgrade to Mountain View King on second-to-top floor (EXCELLENT views, and plenty of space for me as a solo traveler) plus a welcome gift of choice between F&B credit at the Assembly Hall Bar + Market or 1000 points and I took the points as all my meals were already planned to happen elsewhere. Agree with what Tino said above about the frighteningly fast elevators! Visited the Peaks Lounge on 27th floor after my evening arrival and had a very reasonably priced cocktail ($15) and excellent service while enjoying the sunset. Fitness center a bit on the small side for the size of the hotel but didn't have too much trouble finding an open treadmill and a bit of floor space for some strength exercises. 15 minute walk in one direction to Union Station and 15 in the other to Colorado Capitol, for geographic context.

OK, it's now August 2023. Planning a a trip in early November. Can't decide between the HR or GH. Full Globalist breakfast means everything to us. Is either property still offering full breakfast in the restaurant or are both mimimal buffets in a Club or in the hotel restaurant?

Thanks Tony. Do either of them offer made to order omelets or is it just traditional dried crumbly scrambled eggs, dried out potatoes and some bacon? We've been hit recently with what appear and taste like powdered eggs at some Hyatt properties, but very inconsistently. Some are very very good and others are disgusting.
