FFN @ GH Kauai 12/26 - 12/31...luck or dumb luck?
Somehow, even though the hotel is totally full for revenue rooms (even at rack rate), I managed to book this stay this week using 5 FFNs. I couldn't believe my eyes, so (even though I didn't have any airline tickets lined up for this last minute, non-cancellable hotel booking) I snagged it. I called reservations and confirmed that the online booking was successful.
I was amazed that this was available -- would this have meant that there was an FFN cancellation and they put it back into FFN (only?) inventory?
Certainly no complaints for me...though certainly not expecting much of a Diamond upgrade on this one either

Nice - we're there on FFN same dates. Hyatt is absolutely generous with award availability. We were also at this property over Thanksgiving week this year; the PGA Grand Slam and the holiday had the hotel absolutely sold out at 100%, yet we got FFN.
This is one "stealth" area where Hyatt just shines. They really do put award inventory out there in a good way.
Enjoy your stay - maybe we will see you there in the lounge - 30 somethings couple with a pregnant wife
